It has been known ever since they signed him that the Knicks’ top goal with Marcus Morris was to trade him. That is finally coming to fruition today.

According to ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clippers have acquired Morris from the Knicks in exchange for Moe Harkless. Los Angeles has also looped the Wizards into the deal, striking an agreement to acquire Isaiah Thomas from Washington.

In exchange for landing these two explosive players, the Clippers will send Jerome Robinson to the Wizards and Moe Harkless to the Knicks. The Knicks will also receive a 2020 first-round pick from Los Angeles when all is said and done.

Morris, 30, has appeared in 43 games this season and is averaging 19.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per contest. He holds a 44.2 percent success mark while shooting, which includes the 43.9 percent tally from beyond the arc. He is also hitting free throws at an 82.3 percent clip.

Thomas, who turns 31 tomorrow, started 37 of the 40 games he appeared in for the Wizards prior to the trade. He averaged 12.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Overall, he hit shots at a 40.8 percent success rate while connecting on 41.3 percent from beyond the arc. He also holds a 81.6 free throw percentage.
