Per ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the San Francisco Giants have signed Wilmer Flores to a multiyear deal.
Infielder Wilmer Flores and the San Francisco Giants are in agreement on a multiyear contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN. Flores, 28, hit .317/.361/.487 with the Diamondbacks last year and could be in line to play second base or a utility role with the Giants.

Flores had arguably the best offensive season of his career with the Diamondbacks last season, leading him to this new contract in the Bay Area.
Flores famously was one of the New York Mets fan favorites when he was there, and is coming off of his first season with an fWAR above one since the Mets’ magical World Series quest in 2015.
It’s no doubt that he will instantly become a fan-favorite in San Francisco as well.
Flores’s defense is iffy (negative three defensive runs saved in 2019), but his clutch ability will be huge no matter what team he plays for.
