Dallas Cowboys: Sideline Sounds and Updates

It’s amusing to watch and listen to players being themselves on the sideline without getting hazed by interview questions. Their true identity comes out, and it is pretty fun to watch. Below are the top five conversations on the sidelines during games.

On Sunday, Dec. 15, versus the Rams, the Cowboys dominated in a lopsided 44-21 win. Discussions on the sidelines were epic and were the top two moments of the year. The first is a conversation about kicker Kai Forbath between wide receivers’ Michael Gallup, Amari Cooper, and Randall Cobb. The conversation starts at 3:38, and Gallup thought Forbath’s first name was K-A-Y. You can see the genuine conversation between the players to include Jaylon Smith talking about Forbath’s swag. The second favorite sideline moment also came in this game. Nose tackle, Antwaun Woods, drinks a water bottle that has Sean Lee’s coffee in it. That discussion starts at 2:28.

The third favorite moment comes during week nine against the Giants. The Cowboys won that game 37-18. The conversation is with the same wide receivers as above, their discussion is about fantasy points and starts after Gallup’s circus catch at the 2:25 mark.

The fourth moment comes in the first half of the season. Defensive end Robert Quinn discusses his ritual about taking his jersey pants on and off during the game like a basketball player’s warm-ups. The chat starts at 1:05. In the same clip at 2:20, Ezekiel Elliott explains why Leighton Vander Esch is called the “wolf hunter,” which is the fifth moment.

Dak Prescott held multiple interviews yesterday. He sounded “confident” that a deal would happen soon. “Obviously being the Cowboys quarterback is second-to-none,” he told NFL.com. “There are very few positions in all of sports that are comparable to it. So when you put that in perspective, my mindset is to be in Dallas. And I’ve got the confidence in my team to get something done and the confidence in the Cowboys that we’ll be able to.”

In an ESPN interview, Prescott states that he doesn’t play for money. Numerous variables go into a contract and he is going to leave it all up to his agent. He also said that he bet on himself this past season as he’s done his entire life. Prescott also discusses his relationship with former head coach Jason Garrett. Prescott is interested to see how he can develop under new coach Mike McCarthy and is looking forward to improving and is anxious to follow him. Lastly, he said that he wants to improve consistency the most for next season and that keeping offensive coordinator Kellen Moore will continue that success.

Prescott was also asked who he thought would win the Super Bowl and has been highly criticized for his answer. He chose the San Francisco 49ers, but that’s not what brought the criticism. He said that defenses win championships, and that’s why he chose the 49ers. Critics are calling him out, but that saying has been true for years.

Additionally, Cowboy fans have been begging for Jets’ safety Jamal Adams. He recently tweeted that he wants to stay in New York. It’s unknown if this is his truthful feelings or if it’s a ploy. Only time will tell.
