Edelman Gives Self-Update Ahead of Wild Card Weekend

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman gave fans and reporters an update on where his body stands.

The Kent State alum, who has dealt with numerous injuries this year, claims he feels fine and that is all there is to it.

“I feel good, and that’s that,” Edelman told reporters. “I feel better than I have the last few weeks, and I feel good enough to go out and compete at a high level.”

This has been by far one of Edelman’s best years of his career. The Super Bowl MVP recorded a season-high 1,117 yards receiving. His 100 receptions this season were five away from tying his high of 105 catches achieved in 2013.

Edelman may feel good, but he certainly has not looked the part. Tom Brady’s favorite target not been his shifty self as of late, recording a meager 10 receptions in the past three games and barely scratching over 100 yards.

With so much playoff inexperience at receiver, the reigning Super Bowl champions will need their leading pass-catcher to play at a higher level than what he previously has shown.
