DeAndre Hopkins, Stephon Gilmore Clash on Twitter After SNF Meeting

The marquee matchup most people were looking forward to during the Texans-Patriots game last weekend was DeAndre Hopkins versus Stephon Gilmore.

It looks like their battle has now bled over into social media.

Hopkins took a jab at the Patriots’ secondary, saying double coverage is what was needed to slow him down.

Gilmore didn’t take kindly to that and gave his two cents on the matter.

Clearly, this isn’t as much of a legitimate beef as it is just two competitors going at each other once again. Hopefully, the two meet again in the playoffs as a battle between two players at the top of their position like this doesn’t come often.

It’s worth noting when Gilmore was covering Hopkins, the receiver had a measly two receptions for 23 yards. He was only doubled for two of 56 offensive snaps.
