Here are 10 things I learned from Week 4 of the NFL season.
Thanks for joining us. Through three games, Packers receiver Davante Adams has been almost nonexistent. Thursday night, however, he showed up. Adams caught 10 passes for 180 yards before leaving with a toe injury. Green Bay lost to the visiting Eagles. Adams, if nothing else, proved he still belongs in the conversation among the top receivers in the league.

This guy is good. Browns running back Nick Chubb had 20 carries for 165 yards and three touchdowns, including an 88-yarder against the Ravens on Sunday,

Leading with the helmet leads to ann ejection. Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who has a history of dirty hits, led with his helmet to hit Colts tight end, Jack Doyle. Burfict was ejected and Oakland still won the game. Burfict has since been suspended for the season. Those hits aren’t tolerated.

Unless you’re a Patriot, apparently. New England cornerback Jonathan Jones led with his helmet to hit Bills quarterback Josh Allen. The Bills were driving for a potential go-ahead score. Allen was knocked out cold and out of the game. He would not return. This could have very well cost his team the upset victory. Jones was charged with a penalty but was not ejected.
15,000 and counting. Although his Buffalo Bills lost on Sunday, Frank Gore had 17 carries for 109 yards and became the fourth running back NFLnfl history to reach 15,000 career rushing yards. That mark was previously accomplished only by Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders.

Almost isn’t good enough. The Bills almost pulled off an upset against the Patriots. Their defense kept Tom Brady in check all afternoon. The Lions almost did the same to the undefeated Chiefs. Matthew Stafford and the Lions’ offense went score-for-score with Patrick Mahomes, but fell one short.
Week of the upsets. The Browns upset the Ravens, 40-25. The Titans upset the Falcons, 24-10. The Panthers upset the Texans, 16-10. But the upset of the week was the Buccaneers beating the Rams, 54-40. I’m positive almost nobody saw them winning this game.

Hyped rookie quarterbacks show up. Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew led his team to a late game victory over the Broncos in Denver. Meanwhile, in New Jersey, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones led his team to a victory (their second in as many games) over the Redskins in front of of the Giants faithful, proving the Giants were right to make the switch at signal caller.

Mr. Wilson comes to town. Kyler Murray again had an up-and-down day. He passed for 241 yards but a pick-six by Jadeveon Clowney proved costly. Russell Wilson was aided by 104 yards on the ground from Chris Carson. Tight end Will Dissly added seven catches, including a touchdown.

AB is surprisingly underhyped. Titans rookie receiver A.J. Brown through four games has 10 receptions for 223 yards and four touchdowns. But more impressive in the Titans’ two wins is that he has a combined six receptions for 194 yards and two touchdowns. I’m no genius, but getting him the ball seems to equal a win, at least so far. After the game, he exchanged jerseys with his idol, Julio Jones.

The Rams, Cowboys, and Bills are no longer among the undefeated teams. Meanwhile, the Patriots and Chiefs held on to remain perfect. Five teams are still without a win. 24 of the 32 teams are .500 or better four games into the season.
