New England Patriots: Team to Receive Super Bowl Rings on Thursday

The 2018 New England Patriots will be reunited at owner Robert Kraft’s house this Thursday night, as the team will gather together to receive their championship rings from Super Bowl LIII. Brian Flores and Trey Flowers, who did leave the team this past offseason, will be attending the ceremony. However, it is still unknown if members of last year’s team who left the team this past offseason will be in attendance.

Flores was the Patriots defensive play-caller last season, his first season in that position. He took over that role when Matt Patricia left the Patriots to become the Lions’ head coach before the start of last season. This past offseason, Flores became the head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

Flowers was an impactful defensive end for the Patriots over the past few seasons and had the ability to take over the game defensively. This past offseason, he signed a deal with the Detroit Lions.

In the past, the ring ceremony for the Patriots staff and players has been another way to celebrate their Super Bowl victory. Of course, the team has celebrated in other ways, with the on-field trophy presentation and their victory parade in the streets of Boston. In September, they will raise their championship banner in front of thousands of fans just before their opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
