Ex-Patriot Lands Broadcasting Job

A former New England Patriots running back is taking his talents to the broadcast booth.

Per New York Post reporter Andrew Marchand, Shane Vereen is moving on to the broadcasting field taking a job at FOX Sports.

Vereen, 30, was drafted out of Cal in second round of the 2011 NFL Draft and played a huge role on the Patriots’ 2014 Super Bowl team.

That year, he had 391 rushing yards, 447 receiving yards, two rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns. He recorded 11 receptions for 64 yards against the Seattle Seahawks in a Super Bowl.

He joined the New York Giants as a free agent and had a short stint with the New Orleans Saints.
