Revolution Look to Climb Table Against Orlando

The New England Revolution have been unstoppable as of late, winning four of their last five games. Their last match was a 2-0 victory against FC Cincinnati, who beat them during their period of struggle at the beginning of the season.

With their current spell of good form, the Revolution are seventh in the Eastern Conference with 30 points from 22 games played. Montreal are above them in sixth, level on points with 23 games played.

In Saturday’s match against ninth placed Orlando City SC, another win could see the Revolution continue their climb up the Eastern Conference.

Orlando are on the opposite spectrum of New England, winning only one of their last five games. Their last match was a 1-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls, where Orlando dominated possession but couldn’t capitalize on their chances.

The teams met last month in the Round of 16 in the U.S. Open Cup, where two goals in extra time saw Orlando move on with a 2-1 victory, earning Bruce Arena his first loss with the Revolution.

Since then, New England have added a lethal goal scorer in Gustavo Bou, whose emphatic volley in his first match saw him instantly become a fan favorite. The Argentine grabbed his first assist for the club in Cincinnati, pushing the ball to Carles Gil’s left foot for the first goal of the game.

The Revolution kick off against Orlando at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
