After releasing Bruce Ellington, the New England Patriots wasted no time in getting a wide receiver.
Per Ian Rapoport, the team has reportedly signed former San Diego/Los Angeles Charger Dontrelle Inman.
Inman, 30, had a career year with San Diego recording 58 receptions for 810 yards and four touchdowns as the team’s deep threat.
He was traded by the Chargers to Chicago Bears for a conditional seventh round draft choice and signed with the Indianapolis Colts after one season in the Windy City.
At 6-foot-3, Inman adds another big option and red zone target for quarterback Tom Brady
The Patriots currently have Julian Edelman, N’Keal Harry, Demaryius Thomas, Dontrelle Inman, Phillip Dorsett, Braxton Berrios, and Maurice Harris as their active receivers on their roster.
