Sullivan: Week 15 Is Do or Die for Many Teams

If you’re a football fan, get ready for a wild weekend.

Heading into this week, 26 out of 32 NFL teams are still in contention for a playoff spot. This ties the most teams eligible for postseason play this late into the season since 2004.

The Chiefs and Patriots hold the top two seeds in the AFC, while the top NFC seeds are owned by the Saints and Rams. I would expect to see two of these teams in Atlanta come February.

This weekend, teams will have opportunities to clinch a playoff spot, win their division, or keep their hopes of reaching the postseason alive.

In the AFC, teams like the Colts, Dolphins, Broncos, Browns, and Bengals need help to reach the playoffs. For starters, each team needs to win out. A loss this deep in the regular season only worsens their chances of reaching the playoffs.

In the NFC, the Packers, Vikings, Eagles, and Giants are all hanging by a thread. One loss or another team winning could easily wipe away their dreams of making the playoffs.

Week 15 is going to be the most exciting week of NFL football we have seen all season, as so many clinching and elimination scenarios will be played out on Sunday.

Get ready for another week of high flying, fast-paced football, as players will be leaving everything on the field in search of reaching postseason glory.

As a result of their performance, the Buffalo Bills have earned the title of our NFL Team of the Week for the second time this season, having previously received this honor in Week 8.
