Celtics Notebook: Davis Believes Durant Headed to Boston

The Celtics fell to the Jazz 123-115 last Friday without Kyrie Irving due to a personal matter. Terry Rozier scored 22 points in his expanded role, while Joe Ingles lead Utah with 27 points.

The Trail Blazers beat Boston on Sunday in Portland 100-94. Jayson Tatum poured in 27 points for the Celtics, but it was not enough to overcome a strong team effort led by Damian Lillard with 19 points for the Blazers.

The Celtics returned home to face the Bulls on Wednesday and won 111-82 behind 18 points from Jaylen Brown. Shaquille Harrison had 16 points for Chicago in the loss.

Davis believes Durant will join Celtics

Former Celtics forward Glen Davis took to Instagram on Nov. 14 to share his thoughts on Kevin Durant’s upcoming free agency.

“Boston kd is on the way !!!” the post read, “Y’all heard it here first ?”

Many people believe Durant may be looking to test free agency this summer after a spat with teammate Draymond Green. This idea of him going to Boston is not largely shared though, mostly due to Boston’s depth at the small forward position and lack of space in the salary cap. Nonetheless, Davis believes Durant is on his way to join the Celtics.

Morris listed as questionable vs Raptors

The Celtics listed Forward Marcus Morris as “questionable” for Friday’s matchup against the Raptors in Boston. Morris took a day to rest on Thursday because of an illness, and the team is still unsure if he will be healthy enough to go. Morris is averaging 14.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season.
