BU (0-2) 40 34 74

A Great Dane basket by Greg Stire 14 ticks into the final frame knotted the game up at 40-40.

Tied at 43-43, Albany would go on a 13-4 run – capped by a David Nichols layup with 14:47 remaining – to push ahead 56-47, before Cedric Hankerson put an end to the run with a 3-pointer.

Another Hankerson trey with 9:05 to go off a feed from Nick Havener made it a 56-50 ballgame, but that was as close as BU would get as Albany pulled away.

The Great Danes shot 57.1 percent from the field in the win, and outrebounded the Terriers, 28-19.

Havener led all Terriers with 19 points.

BU takes on UConn (1-0) on the road Sunday at 6 p.m.

I personally voted that they should be compensated for their image being used for marketing or recruiting and in a way, they are with scholarships. But we all know that scholarships can only help so much.
