The NBA trade deadline came and left like a tornado. The damage? Just a bunch of players who were scattered all over the NBA map. A lot of big names were included in those unexpected deals that left us in a state of shock. After shocking trades were completed, some people thought they were pranked and others forgot about the NFL’s Super Bowl.

With all of those moves, many players were reunited with their former teammates. Here are some of the most popular reunions.

Los Angeles Lakers

Dorian Finney-Smith can remember a rookie Luka Doncic arriving in Dallas in 2018. He saw first-hand how Doncic transformed from a newbie to a superstar. Their time as teammates lasted around five years before Finney-Smith moved to the Brooklyn Nets during the 2022-2023 season. Now, fate has brought them back together as Lakers.

Another reunion involves Markieff Morris. You probably forgot about him winning a ring back in 2020. Yes, he was a Laker in that memorable Orlando bubble during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that he is back in L.A., he will team up with LeBron James once again. Can they expect another title this time?

Dallas Mavericks

Jason Kidd and Jared Dudley, of the Mavericks coaching staff, already know what they are getting in Anthony Davis. After all, the three were together when the Lakers won the title back in 2020. Additionally, Spencer Dinwiddie, who joined the Mavericks recently, and Davis were teammates just last year when both played for Los Angeles.

Sacramento Kings

DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are together again? That was quite fast. For the past three seasons, both were playing for the Chicago Bulls until DeRozan went to Sacramento when the season started. Now, they are together again after a few months. Perhaps they can find success as Kings.

It is also worth noting that Jonas Valanciunas moving to Sacramento unites him with Domantas Sabonis, his teammate on the Lithuanian Basketball Team.

San Antonio Spurs

De’Aaron Fox, who joined the Spurs before the NBA trade deadline, and Harrison Barnes played for the Kings from 2018 to 2024. In those six seasons, they got to know each other’s style of play pretty well. They will get to use that knowledge now as members of San Antonio’s squad.

Los Angeles Clippers

Patty Mills should feel right at home in the Intuit Dome. He gets to be with Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio teammate), James Harden (Brooklyn teammate), and Nic Batum (Portland teammate). Finding friends in L.A. shouldn’t be a problem. You can also add Drew Eubanks, who knows Kris Dunn from their time in Portland.
