NFL teams will utilize the trade market to strengthen their rosters and make a final push for the 2024 playoffs. We’re expecting plenty of moves before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST.
Here, we’ll track every rumor and completed trade leading up to Tuesday’s deadline.
TRADE: Steelers Acquire Preston Smith From Packers (2:45 p.m.)
The Steelers have acquired linebacker Preston Smith from the Packers in exchange for a seventh-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Steelers have been active today, adding Mike Williams from the Jets before landing Smith. The veteran pass-rusher provides a major upgrade to the Steelers’ defense, which was already one of the best in the NFL.
TRADE: Commanders Acquire Marshon Lattimore From Saints (2:05 p.m.)
The Commanders announce they have acquired cornerback Marshon Lattimore and a fifth-round pick from the Saints in exchange for a third-, fourth-, and sixth-round pick. All selections are in the 2025 draft. While it was unclear just how aggressive Washington would be at the trade deadline, they had a clear need at cornerback. Lattimore offers a key veteran presence as the Commanders vie for the NFC East title.
TRADE: Steelers Acquire Mike Williams From Jets (1:19 p.m.)
The Steelers have acquired wide receiver Mike Williams from the Jets in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Steelers had been linked to the Jets for several weeks, and Pittsburgh finally pulled the trigger less than three hours before the trade deadline. He’ll compete to be the Steelers’ No. 2 receiver behind George Pickens.

D.K. Metcalf Won’t Be Traded (12:47 p.m.)
Despite recent speculation, the Seahawks don’t have any plans to trade wide receiver D.K. Metcalf ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Seattle will move forward with a wide receiver room of Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Tyler Lockett.
Chargers Interested In Patriots’ K.J. Osborn (11:31 a.m.)
The Patriots continue to field interest in wide receiver K.J. Osborn from multiple teams, including the Chargers, according to NFL Network’s Mike Giardi. Osborn is reportedly looking for a fresh start after limited usage in New England this season.
Teams Interested in Titans’ Arden Key, Sebastian Joseph-Day (10:32 a.m.)
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that the Titans have received interest in defensive linemen Arden Key and Sebastian Joseph-Day. Fowler adds that nothing is imminent as of Tuesday morning, but a strong offer could motivate Tennessee to trade a lineman.
Marshon Lattimore Talks Intensifying (10:29 a.m.)
Trade talks surrounding Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore are “warming up,” according to NFL insider Josina Anderson. Multiple teams are involved, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 2-7 Saints move on from him for the right price. We previously heard that talks between the Chiefs and Saints had fizzled out, but it appears Lattimore still has other suitors.
If Marshon Lattimore has played his last game as a Saint, he’ll leave the team ranking:
1st in passes defensed (88)
Tied-8th in interceptions (15)
18th in solo tackles (326)
Tied-25th in forced fumbles (5)— John Sigler (@john_siglerr) November 5, 2024
TRADE: Panthers Acquire Jonathan Mingo From Panthers (9:52 a.m.)
The Cowboys have acquired wide receiver Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick from the Panthers in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Mingo was a second-round pick in 2023 but has just 12 catches through nine games this season. Dallas has gotten good production from its top receivers, CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert, but evidently wanted to add some more depth. This could be a sign that Brandin Cooks (knee), who is currently eligible to return from injured reserve, isn’t nearly ready to play yet.
Chiefs Unlikely to Acquire Marshon Lattimore (8:50 a.m.)
NFL.com columnist Jeffri Chadiha reports that the Chiefs are not expected to acquire Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore. While the Chiefs did have interest in Lattimore, there hasn’t been a lot of intensity in trade talks, and negotiations aren’t expected to heat up before the deadline. Chadiha notes that the Chiefs’ limited cap space will make it difficult for them to acquire any cornerback, not just Lattimore.
Bengals Seeking Defensive Upgrade (8:49 a.m.)
The Bengals, who already acquired running back Khalil Herbert on Tuesday, are not done making moves. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports that Cincinnati continues to seek an addition on defense. She previously linked the Bengals to available defensive linemen and cornerbacks.
Panthers Make Miles Sanders Available (8:46 a.m.)
Panthers running back Miles Sanders is available on the trade market, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. It doesn’t sound like they’ve received a whole lot of interest in the veteran, that could change with Khalil Herbert off the market. Sanders has spent this season in a backup role, but he does have nine catches over his last two games.
If Dan Morgan is able to trade Miles Sanders, build the statue.

TRADE: Bengals Acquire Khalil Herbert From Bears (8:38 a.m.)
The Bengals have acquired running back Khalil Herbert from the Bears in exchange for a seventh-round pick, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Herbert has just 10 touches this season and was a healthy scratch each of the last three weeks. He’ll give Cincinnati proven running back depth as they navigate an injury to Zack Moss (neck).
Giants Fielding Interest in Azeez Ojulari (8:33 a.m.)
The Giants are listening to and evaluating all offers for edge rusher Azeez Ojulari, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. New York is willing to move him, but they aren’t expected to budge much on their asking price. Ojulari has 26 tackles, six sacks, and one fumble recovery this year.

TRADE: Lions Acquire Za’Darius Smith From Browns (8:10 a.m.)
The Lions have acquired veteran pass rusher Za’Darius Smith and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Browns in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. After weeks of searching, the Lions finally land their replacement for Aidan Hutchinson (leg). Smith has 23 tackles and five sacks so far this year.
Dolphins Fielding Interest in Calais Campbell (8:00 a.m.)
Multiple teams have called the Dolphins about trading for defensive lineman Calais Campbell, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. As of now, it’s unclear if Miami, which still has playoff aspirations, would be willing to move the veteran defender. Campbell has 28 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble this year.
