Week 6 in the NFL has come to a close, giving us more insights into the caliber of each team. Every franchise strives for a playoff spot, except for the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Cleveland Browns fans, whose teams’ playoff hopes are dwindling with each passing week.

The Green Bay Packers, despite facing challenges within their division, still have a shot at making it to the playoffs. As a result, they are our Team of the Week for Week 6.

Romeo is Back for the Packers

The famous lyric “guess who’s back, back again” not only refers to Eminem’s “Without Me” but also describes Romeo Doubs’ performance last Sunday. Doubs caught three passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns. This came after a tough sequence in which the Packers suspended Doubs for Week 5 due to detrimental conduct.

Doubs returned to play this past weekend, and it’s safe to say the Packers are better with him on the field.

Super Melton Bros

In this matchup, two brothers faced off against each other. Bo Melton was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft by the Seattle Seahawks and later joined the Green Bay Packers. In Sunday’s game, he made one catch for six yards and had two rushes for 27 yards. He provides valuable depth as a wide receiver for the team, which doesn’t have a clear WR1. Some might argue that not having a clear WR1 makes the Green Bay offense more exciting and enjoyable to watch.

Bo’s younger brother, Max Melton, was selected in the second round of the 2024 draft by the Arizona Cardinals. In the most recent game facing off against his big brother, Melton made three solo tackles, bringing his season total to 14. As a rookie, he is still trying to find his place in the league.

Love’s Got the NFL Looking So Crazy Right Now

Jordan Love has impressed Packers fans with his performance on the field. After his injury in Week 1, the NFL media may have underestimated the team’s potential. On Sunday, Love completed 22 of 32 passes for 258 yards and threw touchdowns to Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, and Doubs (two).

Love is tied for second in the league with 12 touchdowns and ranks 18th in passing yards with 1,131. Overall, Love, wearing No. 10, is having a great second season as the full-time starting quarterback for Green Bay. He is following in the footsteps of elite quarterbacks and winning over the entire state of Wisconsin.

The Woahs of A Packers Kicker: A Strictly Green Bay Story

During Sunday’s game, fans watched as the Green Bay Packers faced more kicker troubles. The team’s vibrant green and gold colors could be seen throughout Lambeau Field as they witnessed rookie kicker Brayden Narveson miss his fifth kick in six games – tied for the most in the league. This has been an ongoing issue within the Packers organization for years. This position is the biggest weakness on their roster. As the season progresses, these missed opportunities could be costly for the team.

Packers Battling in Gauntlet Known as the NFC North

The NFC North is proving to be the best and most competitive division in the 2024 NFL season. All teams in the division currently have winning records, with the Minnesota Vikings leading at 5-0, followed by the Detroit Lions at 4-1, and the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers tied at 4-2. This is the first time since 2000 that all teams in the division have had winning records at this point in the season. The division will likely be decided in Week 18.

YouTuber Tom Grossi’s Green Bay Mother Loving Packers had a fantastic performance against the Arizona Cardinals, but they are currently tied for last place in their division. As the season progresses, the division could become less competitive. However, the real hope is that the NFC will remain as competitive and chaotic as it is now, as it makes football more enjoyable to watch.
