Roger Rosengarten’s Weaknesses

Lacks power at the point of attack to initiate movement off the line of scrimmage with adequate pad level, resulting in him losing leverage against the defender. Lacks the strong initial punch to dictate depth in pass protection. Can be baited into extending early into the rusher while playing with marginal balance underneath. Inconsistent in dropping his anchor against bull rushes, showing adequate lower body strength.

Summary

Rosengarten brings impressive athleticism and mobility to the offensive line. He will be a zone-based right tackle who can succeed in a West Coast offense due to his good ability to play in space and foot quickness to handle NFL rushers. He’ll need to continue to add strength and mass to his lower body while developing his core strength so he can become a consistent starter in the NFL.
