The 2023 NFL Draft is Very Soon. Three main scenarios could occur for the Carolina Panthers (who hold the first overall pick). These scenarios are listed from least likely to most likely to happen.
Least Likely: Carolina Drafts a Non-Quarterback
This is the least likely thing to happen. One, because we need a Quarterback. On the off chance we don’t draft a quarterback (QB), then we draft a Wide Receiver (WR), Tight End (TE), or Cornerback (CB). Just be prepared because one thing about the NFL, it’s unpredictable.
Possible: Carolina Drafts Anthony Richardson or Will Levis
Now the odds on the favorite to go first overall is Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. That doesn’t mean it’s a foregone conclusion that Young is the pick (Only people within the Panthers organization know). If we draft Will Levis, the fan base would riot (like pitchforks and torches down 800 South Mint Street). Richardson is drawing comparisons to Panthers Legend Cam Newton. This could happen but still unlikely.
Most Likely: The Panthers Draft C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young
This is the most likely scenario (probably going to happen) in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Panthers could (and are hopefully) draft C.J. Stroud or Bryce Young. Now, the most likely choice is Bryce Young, the top QB prospect, and he seems to be the prospect Carolina likes the most. However, Stroud is (and should) be in contention for the first overall pick (if not, then he likely goes to the Houston Texans).
Final Thoughts
Here are a few things to keep in mind. One is No one (draft analyst, media personality, etc. don’t know how a prospect’s career will turn out). Remember, just because Carolina picks someone you disagree with, don’t be enraged because That prospect could be good. Who knows? Two, all these scenarios could happen. Just because they are in Least Likely or Most Likely doesn’t mean they can’t happen (based on probability, not this will or won’t happen). The 2023 NFL Draft is Finally Here, and it’s a tremendous time of year.
