Monday Night Football Best Bets: Baltimore Ravens vs. New Orleans Saints

Best bets

Week 9 in the National Football League comes to a conclusion on Monday night with the Baltimore Ravens (5-3) taking on the New Orleans Saints (3-5) in the Big Easy. Winners of two consecutive games, John Harbaugh’s men are starting to solidify themselves as a major threat in the AFC. On the other side of the ball, the Saints have been a model of inconsistency this season.

One question remains: how does it all play out under the bright lights of MNF? To add to your viewing pleasure, here’s a list of three best bets.

Best Bet No. 1: Ravens -1.5 (-115)

The Ravens enter this game as 1.5-point favorites, and for good reason. This is an excellent football team that is really starting to hit its stride. Baltimore also has the luxury of a few extra days of rest, having previously played 11 days earlier in Tampa Bay on Thursday night. They’re clicking on both offense and defense, brimming with confidence, and should be able to take advantage of a depleted Saints defense sans cornerback Marshon Lattimore. Even with the injuries to both Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman, I still like the Ravens to pull out a win on the road. Ride with Baltimore at -1.5 here, folks.

Best Bet No. 2: Isaiah Likely Anytime Touchdown (+187)

No Andrews. No Bateman. Enter, Isaiah Likely. Although “hitting” an anytime touchdown is no easy task in today’s NFL, this particular prop bet caught my eye. Last week, Likely enjoyed a 20.6 percent target rate, 77 yards through the air, and a touchdown while earning a larger role in Baltimore’s offense. Tonight, without Bateman and Andrews, Likely should play an important role as one of Lamar Jackson’s main aerial threats. I wouldn’t even be surprised if No. 80 in purple, white, and black has himself a breakout game. At plus money, I’d lock this one in as soon as you can, football fans.

Best Bet No. 3: Under 46.5 Total Points (-110)

The line for the point total between the Ravens and Saints this evening is set at 46.5, and I’m inclined to lean toward the under. Both teams are limping into their MNF showdown. We know about the Ravens’ injury woes on offense, but the Saints will also be without star Michael Thomas, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Lamar Jackson can easily change the game with his feet, and the same goes for Alvin Kamara for New Orleans. This has the makings for a run-heavy type of game where tons of clock is eaten up. Take the under on the points total.

Gates Top NFL Team From Week 11 (2024)

Week 11 in the NFL brought more chaos, with at least five games on Sunday being decided by a single score. Notably, the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts won their games by just one point. As a result of their performance, the Buffalo Bills have earned the title of our NFL Team of the Week for the second time this season, having previously received this honor in Week 8.
