MLB DFS Sunday Steals

MLB DFS Sunday Steals

Good morning DFS degenerates. On the first Sunday in June, we get a nine-game slate on DraftKings starting at 1:35 pm EDT. There are tons of good bargains to be had today and quite a few pivots either up or down in price. As usual, these are pitchers at $8,000 and under along with hitting bargains at $4,000 and under which is gold for your DFS lineups if they produce. It also allows you to stack the rest of your lineup with studs.

A couple of happy birthdays to teammates on the Minnesota Twins. Joe Ryan turns 26 today, and Royce Lewis turns 23.

Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.

On the Mound

Ryan Yarbrough vs. Chicago White Sox ($6,800)

The Tampa Bay lefty made his first appearance of the year on May 3. It didn’t go well as he got blown up for five runs and couldn’t get out of the third inning. Since then, in five appearances (four starts), Yarbrough has a 2.55 ERA and an 18/5 K/BB rate in 24.2 innings. The White Sox offense has been underachieving. They have scored exactly three runs in each game in June and are fourth-worst in runs per game in the majors.

Pay Up Option: Luis Castillo vs. Washington Nationals ($7,900)
Cheap Option: Zach Plesac @ Baltimore Orioles ($5,000)

On the Dirt

Jared Walsh, 1B ($3,500)

With Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Taylor Ward on the Angels, it is easy to get forgotten about. Walsh was having a forgettable season heading into May 4, slashing just .213/.276/.313. Since then, the 28-year-old has gotten back to his hitting ways. The first baseman has slashed .290/.333/.589 with eight bombs and eight doubles. During that stretch, he has averaged nearly 10 DK points per game and has raised his OPS by nearly .200 points. Nine of his 10 homers on the year have been off of right-handers as Walsh draws Kyle Gibson today.

Pay Up Options: Daniel Vogelbach ($3,900), Christian Walker ($3,800)
Cheap Option: Luke Voit ($2,600)

Matt Reynolds, SS ($3,400)

Here is another player who has been getting into his groove lately. Over his last nine games, the middle infielder has 12 hits with a .975 OPS. He even blasted his first homer of the season on Thursday. This afternoon he faces left-hander Patrick Corbin who has been just awful this season. He is allowing opponents an .860 OPS and over his last four starts has given up 20 earned runs and 33 hits over just 21.2 innings. That also includes six home runs.

Cheap Option: Luis Garcia ($2,600)
Other Options for the Infield: Rowdy Tellez, 1B ($3,400) – Santiago Espinal, 2B/3B ($3,700) – Jose Miranda 3B ($2,900)

On the Grass

Jesus Sanchez ($3,500)

The Dominican outfielder is currently riding a six-game hitting streak, during which he has eight hits. Four of them have gone for extra bases including three tanks. All of his extra-base hits this season have come off of right-handed pitchers. Enter Jakob Junis. The Giants’ starter has been solid in his five starts this season with an ERA of 3.67. He has allowed four home runs in 27 innings with three of those being hit by lefties. Sanchez is my HR Call today.

Pay Up Options: Trey Mancini ($4,000) – Jon Berti ($3,900)
Cheap Option: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($2,800)

Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.
