Monday Night Football DFS: Week 15

DFS

This week, there will be two games for Monday Night Football. The first game will be the Cleveland Browns who will host the Las Vegas Raiders in a game that was postponed from Saturday due to Covid-19. The second game will be the originally scheduled Monday Night Football game featuring the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. All four teams are technically still in the playoff running and in desperate need of a win. Let’s take a look at the top DFS players in both of these games. All the players below will be viable in either showdown slates or the two-game slates.

Quarterback

Justin Fields (DK 5,300 | FD 7,000)

Fields likely has one of the highest ceilings of any player on this slate. He has been excellent for fantasy the last few games and that should continue against a poor Vikings defense. In the last two games, the Vikings have allowed nearly 300 passing yards and three touchdowns per game. Add in Fields running potential and he has a very good shot to be the highest scorer. In your showdown lineups pay up for him at Captain/MVP.

Running Back

Nick Chubb (DK 7,900 | FD 8,000)

Chubb has been one of the few Browns to not have Covid-19 problems this week. Covid hit the Browns hard this week and that will open the door for Chubb to handle a lot of the workload. He should also get some more work in through the air if Kareem Hunt is not available. Furthermore, the Raiders defense is coming off a game where they allowed three rushing touchdowns. If you’re playing a showdown slate pay up for Chubb at Captain/MVP.

Wide Receivers

Darnell Mooney (DK 5,500 | FD 6,100)

Mooney has been a little inconsistent this year. However, when Allen Robinson is out, Mooney’s numbers go up. With Robinson on the Covid-19 list, Mooney will have to be Fields’ No. 1 guy. Furthermore, he gets a very good matchup against a bad Vikings secondary. They have allowed 16 touchdowns and an average of 195 yards to just wide receivers on the year. Look for Mooney to get back on track after a rough game last week.

Justin Jefferson (DK 8,500 | FD 8,800)

Jefferson has been excellent this season. He has a touchdown in two straight games and at least 79 receiving yards in five straight. He has also seen 29 targets with Adam Thielen out the last two games. Thielen has a chance to play but with his injury, he may only be used in critical situations. Furthermore, Jefferson destroyed the Bears as a rookie last season. He had 16 receptions for 239 yards in two games last year against the Bears. Look for Jefferson to be the focus of the Vikings offense again this week.

Donovan Peoples-Jones (DK 4,200 | FD 5,900)

DPJ had a very solid game last week against Baltimore last week. He went for 90 receiving yards on five receptions in that game. If Jarvis Landry is unable to play, DPJ will be forced to step up as the No. 1 receiver. It is still uncertain who’s going to play quarterback for Cleveland but DPJ’s target share should be among the highest on the slate.

Tight End

Foster Moreau (DK 3,800 | FD 5,500)

Darren Waller is still out with a knee injury for the second week in a row. Yes, Moreau hasn’t been great since Waller’s departure. However, he does get a decent matchup in this game against a potentially depleted Browns defense. At full strength, they allowed a touchdown in two straight games to tight ends. Moreau will likely need a touchdown to provide value but on a small slate, he’s got just as good of a shot to score as the other tight ends.
