Welcome back to the Daily Dollar, and our weekly best bets as we kick off Week 6 in the NFL. Instead of the usual three games, I noticed a few mistakes made by Vegas this week, so I’ve got four solid games for your gambling pleasure. If you promise to eat your veggies, I’ll toss in a Sunday Night Football slam-dunk to cap off your Sunday Funday. Ready? Buckle up.

Green Bay Packers -6 (-110) at Chicago Bears
Since their 38-3 drubbing at the hands in the ever-unpredictable Week 1, Green Bay has covered in four straight games, and they will again. Las Vegas continues to botch the line on the Packers, and it’s making bettors a lot of money. The visitors have moved from 4.5- to 6-point favorites over their division foe in Chicago, and rightfully so. Justin Fields has looked atrocious for the Bears, and they are without their top two running backs in David Montgomery and Damien Williams. Khalil Herbert should still have a day against the Green Bay line, but in the end Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams will chew up a Chicago secondary that has been given far too much credit.
Book it: Packers -6 points (-110)
Houston Texans +10 (-110) at Indianapolis Colts
Houston is not good/very bad, but as I said in our Week 6 edition of Expert Picks, the Colts aren’t exactly world-beaters. Carson Wentz had a great Week 5, with over 400 yards passing while adding a pair of touchdowns. On the other side, Houston nearly beat a so-so New England team, eventually falling 25-22. The Texans are nothing special, but frankly, neither is Indianapolis. The secondary in particular (which was supposed to be their strength) has been suspect, and rookie quarterback Davis Mills played admirably against the Pats last week. Houston won’t likely win this game, but 10 points is a lot in the NFL for anyone to cover. Texans within a touchdown.
Book it: Texans +10 points (-110)
Kansas City Chiefs 1H -3.5 (-120) at Washington Football Team
Let’s keep it on the road. Kansas City has been beaten like a drum on defense, and nearly to the same tune that the Football Team has. Washington has allowed 135 points in the last four weeks and go up against a Chiefs team averaging nearly 31 points per game offensively on the season. The home team in the nation’s capital could be game for a late comeback in this one, scoring multiple garbage-time touchdowns, but Kansas City is going to come out firing after their primetime embarrassment against Buffalo in Week 5. The Chiefs can easily cover the first half line of 3.5.
Book it: Chiefs -3.5 points in the first half (-120)
Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions o47 (-110)
The Bengals should win this affair, and Zac Taylor has heard enough complaints of being too conservative with the game plan. With Joe Mixon less than 100 percent and Samaje Perine likely absent as his backup, Taylor is going to dial up the passing game. Ja’Marr Chase is nearly uncoverable and Tee Higgins is healthy. Detroit fans can barely name a pass-catcher on their squad, but it might not matter who is out there. Cincinnati’s secondary has been suspect and has always been victimized by the tight end. You can expect T.J. Hockenson to be heavily involved. The huge storyline in this game will be Chase versus Penei Sewell, who was an anticipated Bengals’ pick and has struggled mightily in 2021. Joe Burrow stomps the gas pedal and Jared Goff plays catch-up against a weakened secondary leading to an easy over.
Book it: Bengals/Lions over 47 points scored (-110)
BONUS: Pittsburgh Steelers -5 (-110) vs. Seattle Seahawks
How about a home bet for Sunday Night Football? Seattle is reeling after losing Russell Wilson and are still without Chris Carson for this primetime matchup. The Steelers might not be the team they’ve been in the past, but they aren’t going to lay down for another home loss, and especially not to Geno Smith and Alex Collins. It might take some late game heroics from Large Ben or Najee Harris, but Pittsburgh is not letting the Seahawks escape the Steel City with a victory. The Steelers win by at least a touchdown, giving life to their season (at least for another week).
