CFB Prospects to Watch: Week 6

College Football Prospects

The college football season is now well underway. We are no longer in those early weeks and the draft talk is starting to take picture. There are still some players we need to get more from, and those who have some huge matchups this week.

Spencer Rattler, QB, Oklahoma

Like every week, we are starting off with a quarterback. Normally, it’s one of the lesser-known guys but Rattler is a necessity to put here this week. He has been super underwhelming. At this point, he’s definitely not the first-overall selection that we once thought he could be. However, a big game in the Red River Rivalry against Texas could vault him back to somewhere close to this talk.

Samori Toure, WR, Nerbraska

The Cornhuskers take on a Michigan defense this week that is dominating. However, they aren’t the most talented in the secondary. Toure has hauled in 23 balls this season for 483 yards and three touchdowns. At 6’3″, he’s been a nice deep threat for Nebraska but is not a guy we have not heard anything about on draft terms. A huge performance against the Wolverines could put him on the map for the first time this year.

Nick Ford, OT, Utah

Oh boy, what a matchup we have on our hands here. Ford, one of the most versatile tackles and more unknown guys in the country, goes up against a USC defense that features Drake Jackson. Every single rep in which they face off should be one that we watch intensely because Ford can seriously play, and handling the projected first-round pick would do wonders on his draft stock.

Vince Sanford, OLB, Air Force

You might be saying to yourself, who? Which is pretty fair. Most of the guys we put on here are underrated prospects but not this underrated. Sanford is fourth in the country in sacks and is a seriously good 3-4 scheme fit. After limited action throughout his career, this is a player that’s finally breaking out and might be able to actually become a draft selection.

Matt HankinsRiley Moss, CB, Iowa

This is the first time we’ve thrown a duo in here, but it is much needed. This tandem has been absolutely lockdown in the secondary for the Hawkeyes. Now, they go up against one of the best receivers in the country in Jahan Dotson. It will be interesting to see which one of these guys draws more assignments on Dotson but they both have the opportunity to improve their stock tremendously.
