Corrigan’s Gambling Corner: NFL Draft Props

Corrigan's Gambling Corner: College Football

Yes, even the NFL draft can be a big day for gambling. Not only that, but the draft is one of the best sporting events of the year. Since the draft is in my hometown of Cleveland, OH, that makes it even more special for me. Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the best props of the NFL draft.

Total Offensive Players Drafted In The First Round: O/18.5 (-120)

It is becoming a very real possibility that the entire top 10 will all be offensive players. That is practically a third of the first round. When you get down in the teens-early 20s is when we will see a big rush of pass-rushers and corners. Even then, we will most likely see some late-round trade-ups to get a quarterback or a wide receiver. This bet is based on the fact that the first hour or so of the draft will be dominated by the offense.

Number That Rashawn Slater Is Drafted: O/10.5 (+140)

Because there are so many first-round talented offensive lineman is why Slater will most likely fall. There was some buzz around the Bengals or Broncos taking him but I don’t buy it. The back end of the top-10 will most likely be dominated by wide receivers and whichever top quarterback is left. This pick is extremely risky but worth the value.

Number that Ja’Marr Chase Is Drafted: O 5.5 (+105)

This tells me that Vegas has the Bengals drafting Chase. I’m sure it is a thought that the front office had; reuniting Chase and Joe Burrow, but then they probably remembered that Burrow got severely injured due to poor offensive line play. With Penei Sewell available, the Bengals can’t afford to not draft the best lineman.

Wide Receivers Drafted in the First Round: O/4.5 (-200)

This is a slam dunk. It is a guarantee that Chase, DeVonta Smith, and Jaylen Waddle will all go early. If we are mapping it out, we only need two more given the three guarantees. You have to think Baltimore would use one of their two picks on a receiver. That just leaves us with one more. It’s hard to imagine we can’t find one more late-round team. The value is not great, but this is a lock.
