Prior to the 2020 NFL season, three questions were posed for each of the 32 teams. This is the recap and answers to those questions for the Baltimore Ravens.

Will the Reigning MVP Stave Off the Madden Curse?

The dual-threat signal-caller, Lamar Jackson was spared the Madden Curse. He threw 26 touchdown passes. For the second straight season, he eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark. On top of that, Jackson also got his first playoff victory, which has eluded him in his first two tries, which was more bittersweet as it came against the team that unexpectedly ended their postseason run a season ago, the Tennessee Titans. Although they lost in the Divisional Round to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

Will the Defense Still be Among the League’s Elite?

The defense was once again among the best units in the NFL, Baltimore was ranked No. 2 in the league in points given up. But their job was made easier with Jackson and his ability to extend drives, allowing them to rest between drives. Rookie Patrick Queen had a solid rookie campaign for the Ravens. The first-round pick out of LSU recorded 106 tackles and three sacks.

Will Harbaugh Coach Differently in 2020?

Another year and head coach John Harbaugh still made the same decision, just to a lesser extent. After he caught slack for resting a majority of his starters in a meaningless Week 17 in 2019, only to lose in the Divisional Round against an underdog Titans team. Many players went three whole weeks without any game action, and they came out flat and fell behind and couldn’t come back. This season, he rested some of his starters in Week 17, others played meaningful minutes in the team’s final regular-season contest.
