Kenny Yeboah is one of the most intriguing tight end prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft as a late-round pick. Yeboah came into college as a two-star recruit and boomed. Let’s take a look at his skillset heading into the draft.

Blocking (7.5/10)
Yeboah is an excellent pass-blocking tight end. He allowed zero sacks and zero pressures in pass protection during the 2019 season and is arguably the best pass-blocking tight end in the draft. Yeboah’s run blocking can use a lot of help. He struggles to create gaps and often is a liability in the run game. Yeboah will need to add more strength to become an effective run-blocking tight end at the next level.
Hands (8/10)
Yeboah’s hands are great. He can utilize his hands in contested catch situations and is generally able to haul in most passes.
Contested Catch (8.5/10)
Yeboah can make contested catches. He uses his hands well in contested catch situations and does not only rely on his tall frame. Yeboah uses his frame to block off receivers while using his hands to make the big play.
After the Catch (9/10)
His after-the-catch ability is one of the most intriguing parts of his game. Yeboah has good agility, can change direction well, and accelerates in the open field for his size. He will not make many defenders miss but will fight for extra yards and use his physicality to create after the catch.
Release (4/10)
Yeboah’s release not terrible, but it is not elite. He has a slow-release and usually doesn’t create separation off of the line, which forces him to make a lot of contested catches.
Route Running (3/10)
Yeboah is still a very raw route runner and does not have elite route-running ability. He ran a lot of vertical routes up the seam at Ole Miss, but Yeboah should look to diversify his route running at the next level.
Separation (2/10)
Yeboah does not create much separation. He lacks the speed and release to get past a receiver and often relies on his hands and frame to make a play rather than creating separation. Yeboah can sneak through the defense up the seam at times, but in one on one situations with a cornerback, He won’t create separation.
Versatility (6/10)
Yeboah has decent versatility for a tight end. He can pass-block very well but is also able to move out and play receiver. Versatility is one of the most important aspects of a tight end, and Yeboah is a fairly versatile one.
Overall Speed and Burst (2/10)
Yeboah is not a quick receiver that will amaze you with their speed. He needs time to create any separation in his routes, but with the ball in his hands, Yeboah can make plays using his agility and size.
Competitive Toughness (5/5)
Yeboah displayed an incredible work ethic with his improvements from high school till now. He came into college football with little experience at the tight end position and was able to thrive. Yeboah also displays great competitive toughness on the field and is often seen fighting for extra yards.
Injury (5/5)
Yeboah faced some minor injuries throughout his college career, but nothing serious.
Player Summary
Yeboah is an elite pass-blocking tight end who offers intriguing pass-catching and after-the-catch ability. He will need to polish his routes, improve his run blocking, and create more separation at the NFL level, but could be a high upside pick in one of the later rounds.
