Best Prop Bet from Every Divisional Round Game

travis kelce

Three weeks to go in the NFL Playoffs, and we are down to eight teams. While we are down to the final eight teams, there is still plenty of money to be made gambling on the spread, total, and prop bets. Much like the regular season, I will give my favorite prop bet from each game this weekend. However, this will be the final Best Prop Bets for the Week article. Next week I will have a Fave Five for both Conference Championship games, then one for the Super Bowl two weeks later. With plenty still on the line, gamblers have plenty of opportunities to make some money this weekend.

To recap last week, I went 3-3 on my six prop bets. After going 2-1 on Saturday, I went 1-2 on Sunday. Thankfully, Ben Roethlisberger threw four touchdowns in the loss to the Cleveland Browns, easily hitting the over on his 1.5 passing touchdown prop. With the bonus point, I finished the week 4-3 overall, bringing my record for the year to 113-116 (49.3 percent). Without further ado, let’s dive into the best prop bet from each Divisional Round game.

Los Angeles Rams vs Green Bay Packers

Cam Akers Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-134)

To close out the regular season, Akers averaged 84.8 rushing yards per game over his final five games. Last week, he had 28 rushing attempts for 131 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks. With Jared Goff playing with a thumb injury, the Rams leaned on Akers and the running game. This week they will do similar to protect Goff and keep Aaron Rodgers off the field. During the regular season, the Packers gave up an average of 91.6 rushing yards per game to running backs. If the Rams have any chance of winning this game, they need to run the ball and keep Rodgers off the field.

Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills

Lamar Jackson Over 74.5 Rushing Yards (-134)

Over the last five games to end the regular season, Jackson averaged 86.6 rushing yards per game, rushing for 80 or more in four of them. More importantly, Jackson had a season-high 16 rushing attempts for 136 rushing yards last week against the Tennessee Titans. The Ravens got into the playoffs after winning five in a row. They had success by featuring Jackson in the running game, and it paid off last week. To win this game, they must limit the amount of time Josh Allen is on the field, and the best way to do this is by running the ball.

Cleveland Browns vs Kansas City Chiefs

🔒 Lock of the Week 🔒 Travis Kelce Over 86.5 Receiving Yards (-150)

Kelce has been unstoppable this season, averaging 94.4 receiving yards per game. He recorded 65 or more receiving yards in all but two games and more than 86 receiving yards in over half of his games this season. Kelce was the focal point of the Chiefs’ passing game this season, averaging seven receptions on 9.7 targets per game. Meanwhile, the Browns gave up 87 or more receiving yards several times to tight ends during the regular season despite not facing a tight end as talented as Kelce. He is in line for a big game tomorrow, and this prop bet is my lock of the week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New Orleans Saints

Jared Cook Over 29.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

While Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara get most of the headlines, Cook has played a critical role for the Saints this season. Cook averaged 33.6 receiving yards per game in 2020, recording 30 or more in 60 percent of his games. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have struggled to slow down tight ends this season, giving up an average of 5.4 receptions for 52 receiving yards per game to the position. Cook caught seven of 10 targets for 110 receiving yards in the two games against the Buccaneers this season, recording at least 30 receiving yards in each matchup. With the defense focused on stopping Thomas and Kamara, Cook should hit the over on this prop before the start of the fourth quarter.
