Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been touted as the second-best linebacker in the class behind Penn State’s Micah Parsons. The two have similar skillsets that make them highly coveted at the next level. Owusu-Koramoah is well-known for his coverage ability and ability to play at multiple spots on the defense. It is almost a sure thing that he will hear his name called on day one of the draft in April.

Tackling (7/10)
Tackling is the trait he can work on the most. He seems to be more focused on making the big hit then making the tackle. It makes for some great highlight plays, but you’d like to see him more consistent here.
Sideline-to-Sideline Ability (9.75/10)
Even if the play is on the opposite side of the field, he’s there in a beat. There are plays where he runs all over the field and is near the ball-carrier at all times.
Awareness (8.25/10)
Sometimes, Owusu-Koramoah seems to bite too much off of the edge, and it costs the defense. He seems to know what the play is and is too energetic to wait for the ball to come to him.
Versatility (10/10)
Where do NFL teams play him? Owusu-Koramoah is a bit of a tweener and could play on the edge, at linebacker, slot cornerback, or safety. It was a task trying to find him at every defensive snap before the play started. Teams will love his versatility, and it could push him higher up draft boards.
Decision-Making (7.75/10)
As stated earlier, he doesn’t know whether to lay someone out or wrap them up. There is so much to like about Owusu-Koramoah, but he seems to be too eager to make a play sometimes and overcompensates, missing tackles.
Block Shedding (9.5/10)
When he’s lined up on the edge, Owusu-Koramoah immediately gets off the ball and uses his strength to his advantage. This might be the most underrated aspect of his play.
Short-Area Quickness (10/10)
Immediate get-off. Similar to T.J. Watt in a way where you wonder if he’s offsides by how fast he gets off the ball. He can easily chase down a defender.
Coverage (9.5/10)
Owusu-Koramoah was tasked with playing in the slot one-on-one with slot receivers, tight ends, and running backs. He has recognition of routes that he uses to his advantage and can make a break on the ball and cause an interception or fumble.
Football IQ (9.5/10)
Owusu-Koramoah clearly watches his film. There were plenty of times where he knew where the ball was going to be before the play developed. He has a great idea of routes and is usually at the right place at the right time.
Competitive Toughness (5/5)
Always tries finding the ball and never gives up. Sometimes this costs him, but he never quits.
Injury (3.75/5)
Hamstring and knee injuries at times for Notre Dame. Owusu-Koramoah suffered a broken foot in September of 2018.
Player Summary
Owusu-Koramoah is one of the most exciting players to watch in the class. He can play at a variety of spots and does well in each of them. His versatility will make NFL teams fall in love with him, but his inconsistent tackling could be worrisome to some teams. There is plenty to work with and whichever team is lucky enough to select him will have a building block on their defense for years to come.
