Fantasy Football Buy and Sell Advice: Week 11

For those with trade deadlines approaching, here are some players you should look to buy and sell heading into Week 11.

Quarterback

Buy –ย Russell Wilsonย

Wilson produced his first real dud of the season last week, scoring just 9.9 points and turning the ball over three times. Take advantage of this poor performance to check in with the Wilson owner and see if theyโ€™re willing to part with him for a discounted value. Wilson is putting together an MVP-worthy season and is practically matchup-proof at this point.ย

Sell –ย Matt Ryanย

Atlantaโ€™s high octane offense always puts Ryan in the conversation for a top-10 fantasy finish. This year, he hit an early-season slump but has picked things back up as of late. Looking ahead to his playoff schedule, the 2016 MVP is set to face the Chargers, Buccaneers, and Chiefs in Weeks 14-16. All three of those teams possess capable secondaries, which doesnโ€™t exactly inspire confidence for Ryanโ€™s postseason fantasy prospects.ย

Running Back

Buy –ย Derrick Henry

Henry has produced back-to-back duds from a fantasy perspective, which creates a great opportunity to buy him low. The reigning rushing champ is primed to face Detroit, Jacksonville, and Green Bay in the fantasy playoffs. Two of those teams have bottom-eight run defenses. Henry is going to be a monster over that three-week span, so if you have the chance to acquire him, do it.ย

Sell –ย J.D. McKissic

McKissic began the year as a thorn in Antonio Gibsonโ€™s side but has quickly risen to fantasy prominence himself over the past few weeks. Washingtonโ€™s change-of-pace back has scored 10+ points in four of his last five contests. In PPR leagues, McKissic has been especially effective. However, Gibson is still the clear lead back on that team, and McKissicโ€™s future production will likely be inconsistent. Sell him high while you can.ย

Wide Receiver

Buy –ย Michael Thomas

Thomasโ€™ last two games have been ugly, but Jameis Winston under center for the Saints over the next few could actually help his fantasy prospects. Winston doesnโ€™t know New Orleansโ€™ offense as well, and will likely look to the best receiver (Thomas) as his safety valve. The risk is obviously there, but if thereโ€™s a time to buy Thomas low, itโ€™s now.ย

Sell –ย Adam Thielen

After a few disappointing outings, Thielen returned to form Monday night against the Bears, scoring twice en route to a 20.3 point performance. Looking ahead to his playoff schedule, itโ€™s pretty scary. The Vikings will face Tampa Bay, Chicago, and New Orleans in Weeks 14-16. Thielen is an incredible player, but Kirk Cousins hasnโ€™t been good enough this year to trust him to consistently produce.ย

Tight End

Buy –ย Darren Waller

Waller is currently TE2 in PPR leagues, but heโ€™s been inconsistent over the past four games. Tight ends as a whole have been incredibly frustrating from a fantasy perspective this year, so if you have the chance to land a player like Waller for a discounted price, you take it.ย

Sell –ย Rob Gronkowski

Gronk has scored 13 or more PPR points in four of his last five contests, but it doesnโ€™t take a psychic to predict a decrease in production moving forward. The introduction of Antonio Brown to the Bucsโ€™ offense has slashed Gronkโ€™s target share, as the Tampa Bay tight end has only caught three balls over the last two games. Sell him now before he loses value.ย
