Corrigan's Gambling Corner: MLB Best Bets

We are on a roll here on Corrigan’s gambling corner. After a great weekend of college football, we finally have a winning record for the first time in what feels like forever. Let’s keep this momentum going this wonderful Thursday night.

NFL Best Spread: Titans +1

It is becoming more clear that Philip Rivers‘ time as a good starting quarterback in this league is over. They have no real offensive identity and Rivers just isn’t getting the job done. It was a good thought bringing him in because of how talented this roster is, but they just won’t be able to keep up with the good teams. The problem for the Titans is that their identity is Derrick Henry. While that is a good thing, the Colts are among the best in rush defense only allowing 3.3 YPC. What it comes down to is who is better? While the Titans are not as great as we thought they were earlier in the season, they are better than the Colts.

CFB Best Spread: Colorado State +14.5

Boise State got its doors blown off by BYU last week. While that shouldn’t be surprising because of how good BYU is, it is cause for concern. Another red flag for the Broncos tonight is that this is their third game in 13 days while Colorado State has had more than a week’s rest. This game is going to come down to who is taking snaps for Boise State. When Jack Sears left the game last week, the offenses lost its explosiveness led by Cade Fennegan. There is still no word on who will be playing quarterback tonight for Boise State but I can’t get over that many games in a short stretch.

Best Point Total: Colorado State vs Boise State U/62

While Colorado State is in the top-10 in terms of offensive tempo, they really don’t jump out to me as a team that will hang a big number against Boise State. Again, the short rest for Boise State will come into play. Personally, I would wait and see what the number is closer to game time before I make a final decision. If it drops below 60 for whatever reason, take the over. But for now, we are going with the under.
