Breaking Today: Two Key Players Injured in Practice

Breaking news today out of Foxborough reports that special teams ace Matthew Slater and wide receiver Chris Hogan were injured in practice.

Slater according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “Walked to (the) medical tent looking stiff. Bill Belichick. came to tent. Slater now out of practice.”

The one to be more concerned about is Hogan’s injury to his knee in practice which is always a very difficult injury for a football player to receive.

Reiss wrote. “Injury situation to monitor: WR Chris Hogan. Walked off slowly was getting knee looked at by athletic trainer. Now sitting out practice.

Players leaving the practice field can either mean a devastating injury or just precautionary.  Patriots fans will hope for the latter.
