If NBA fans find out something exciting, interesting, or unique about their team’s game dates, then they will have a few more stories to keep an eye on as the season flows forward.
Here are some of those quirks when looking at teams in the northwest area of the NBA map.
Denver Nuggets
Of their last 21 games, only seven will be played on the road. That is some good news for Denver’s fans. In the meantime, though, they will have to grind it out in the first few months as they start the season off without the comforts of home.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Saying “nice to finally meet you” is how the Timberwolves should greet the Detroit Pistons. They face each other twice, and both games are scheduled to happen near the end of the season. In other words, the team will be facing an opponent for the first time in the 74th game of an 82-game haul.

Oklahoma City Thunder
Look for Nov. 11 and 12 when they face the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers in consecutive home games. You can also circle April 7 to 10, where they will have to play three road games in four nights against the Lakers, Clippers, and Nuggets.
Portland Trail Blazers
Four Sunday afternoon home games? That’s right. Portland will have some games at 3 p.m. Pacific and that session against the Boston Celtics on Dec. 28 should be quite nice since an early end means more time to rest. Any extra rest is what they’ll need when they face the Dallas Mavericks the very next day.
Utah Jazz
A major test for the squad is coming up in mid-November. The Jazz face four “heavy” opponents in a seven-day span. They travel to Los Angeles for a matchup against the Lakers, come home to face the Thunder and the Lakers (again), and head back to California to face the Warriors.
