There is something about October that is infused with excitement. Perhaps it is the start of the NBA season informing our brains that the wait is finally over.
Several months of NBA games are finally ahead of us, so planning our days or even weeks around those games should be a cool task.
Speaking of calendar plans, it is time to look at the teams in the Pacific Division and point out at least one unique scenario about their schedules.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns just opened their season with a road game against the Los Angeles Clippers. That means they got to be the first to visit the new Intuit Dome. One can imagine how amazing that experience was for the team. Everything in that stadium is supposed to be better and bigger.

Golden State Warriors
Bay Area fans cannot wait for February when their city will host the NBA All-Star Game. One thing that stands out is that the weekend festivities will include events played in Oracle Arena and Chase Center. For older fans, Oracle Arena is close to their hearts, especially from 2014 to 2018 when the Warriors kept winning.
Sacramento Kings
Every team has that one brutal stretch in the season where the schedule can get tough. That stretch, for the Kings, is from the last week of January to the second week of March. With 23 games to play, of which only six will occur at home, the entire team will have to rest during that All-Star break in February.

Los Angeles Clippers
While having a new arena can be quite awesome, the Clippers have to be irked about having 16 back-to-back games. They had 15 of those last year and 15 two seasons ago, which was understandable because they had to share the floor with the Los Angeles Lakers and the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. One would think that having your own arena eases the schedule.
Los Angeles Lakers
A special night is on the way for Los Angeles. That night is on Jan. 13Â when the organization will honor Michael Cooper by raising his jersey to the rafters. Cooper deserves this. Aside from being a part of the Showtime Lakers, he brought two WNBA titles to the city when he was the coach of the Los Angeles Sparks back in the early 2000s.
The Lakers have started the season 3-0.
Under JJ Redick, they have a new and improved offensive approach that’s centered around Anthony Davis, and he’s responded with averages 34-11-3 on 67.3 TS%.
Along with the DPOY-caliber impact he’s provided, he’s playing like an MVP. pic.twitter.com/f0CoB6J0jQ
