NBA action returns soon. It’s less than two months away and we can’t wait. One thing we can do, though, is study the different teams’ patterns and plans in the NBA schedule to find anything interesting.
With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the unique stories for squads in the Central Division.
Chicago Bulls
Two of the five nationally televised games for the Bulls are against the Charlotte Hornets. Is the NBA anticipating a “Ball Brothers” matchup? If so, then that means they expect Lonzo Ball to be healthy. Chicago’s Ball has been out for the past couple of years and facing his brother, LaMelo Ball, who plays for the Hornets, would be classified as a must-watch game.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland’s players must be dreading the month of March. How busy is that month for them? 10 out of their 16 games will be on the road. They have no consecutive home games and will have three sets of back-to-back games. The Cavaliers have their own version of “March Madness” on this year’s NBA schedule.
Detroit Pistons
For Detroit’s fans, Little Caesars Arena will be a hotbed of action on the weekends. 20 home games will be played on a Friday, a Saturday, or a Sunday. That’s good news for the arena since bigger crowds can be expected. Additionally, one home game will be televised for Detroit when ESPN broadcasts the Pistons-Sixers game in early February.
Indiana Pacers
The NBA schedule sends Tyrese Haliburton back to Paris at the end of January. Haliburton was recently in France as part of Team USA’s Olympic squad. He famously said that he got a gold medal without doing anything. Surely, he’ll get more involved this time around. Expect him to play heavy minutes when the Pacers face the San Antonio Spurs twice in Europe.

Milwaukee Bucks
No work on Christmas Day must be nice for the Bucks. The NBA schedule gives Milwaukee a day off on Dec. 25 for the first time in seven years. The Bucks have a mini Christmas break, too, since they will play two home games and two road games from Dec. 21 to 30. Those two road games are in Chicago, which is only 90 minutes away by car — and even quicker if they take the team plane.
