Super Bowl 56 Spread Advice

Every week billions of dollars are wagered on the NFL. The most popular type of bet is the spread. Each week there are a few games with an appealing spread and others with an ugly spread. Two of our NFL writers, Mike Fanelli and Dale Money Money, give their take on which side of the Super Bowl 56 spread you should bet this weekend.

To recap the Conference Championship games, Mike finished with a 2-0 record while Dale finished 0-2. Mike ended the year with a 127-137-2 record (48.1 percent), while Dale ended with a 142-122-2 record (53.8 percent). Let’s take a look at their pick for Super Bowl 56.

The Spread was provided by Jazz Sportsbook. Please bet responsibly.

Mike: Cincinnati Bengals +4

The Bengals were one of the hottest teams to close out the regular season, winning three of their final four games. The one loss came in a meaningless Week 18 matchup against the Cleveland Browns when Joe Burrow and several starters sat out. During their impressive playoff run, the Bengals have been underdogs twice, both times by at least four points. They ended up winning both games on a last-second field goal. While the Bengals will cover the four-point spread, the Los Angeles Rams will be Super Bowl Champions. Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and the rest of the offense have been in sync all postseason long. Meanwhile, Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Leonard Floyd will get just enough pressure on Burrow to slow down the Bengals’ offense. Rams win 27-24.

Dale: Los Angeles Rams -4

Though the Rams’ appearance in the Super Bowl isn’t a total shocker, the Bengals’ appearance is certainly a surprise. More importantly, the Bengals overcame an 18-point deficient in the AFC Championship game and have gained critical playoff experience. However, the Bengals still have the same offensive line issues this weekend. Expect them to struggle with that Rams dangerous pass rush. Stafford and Kupp will be too much for the Bengals’ defense. The Rams will not only gain the victory but cover the four-point spread. Rams win 28-21.
