2022 Bold Predictions: Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders have been in the news for all of the wrong reasons the past year or so. However, this offseason has been good for them. They hired a new coach, Josh McDaniels who fits their culture like a glove. On top of that, they made two huge moves, adding Davante Adams and Chandler Jones. They are in a very tough division, but have made the correct moves and look towards leaping in 2022. Let’s take a look at four bold predictions for the Raiders.

Davante Adams will Repeat with 1,500 Receiving Yards

Adding Adams to an already good roster goes a long way in helping Derek Carr. Many people around the league know what type of player Hunter Renfrow is, and his style fits with Adams perfectly. Renfrow and Darren Waller will take away the double teams for Adams. Adams may not have Aaron Rodgers as his quarterback anymore, but he is still that good. Adams is the best receiver in the league and will continue to show that in 2022, having the same numbers as the year prior.

Maxx Crosby has Over 10 Sacks

Crosby has continued to develop as an elite pass rusher over the last few seasons. Throughout his three-year career, he has had over seven sacks each of them. This will be the year where he takes the largest leap. Adding Jones, opposite of him, will give him every opportunity to swallow quarterbacks whole throughout the season. The Raider’s defense continues to get meaner, younger, and more refined. Wait until Crosby touches the field this season, he is going to wreak havoc.

Josh Jacobs has Over 1,200 Rushing Yards

Jacobs has battled injuries throughout his entire NFL career. However, that does not mean he is not a freakishly talented running back. He has all the talent to be a top 10 back in this league, if healthy. In 2022, he will have his best season yet and rush for over 1,200 yards. He has yet to see those numbers, itching close in 2019, but this will be the year. With a wicked passing attack and new weapons for Carr, if Jacobs stays healthy he will be the featured back in 2022.

The Raiders Will Win the AFC West

In the toughest division in football, the Raiders will come out on top in 2022. The Denver Broncos added Russell Wilson, who has been mediocre the past few seasons. The Kansas City Chiefs lost their ultimate weapon in Tyreek Hill. However, the Los Angeles Chargers gained a few new faces and got better this offseason. This division is going to be a race until the end, but the Raiders will come out with the best record. Stranger things have happened before in this league, but watch out for the Raiders in this upcoming 2022 season.
