The Daily Dollar: NFL Best Bets for Week 15 (12/19)

by December 19, 2021 0 comments

It’s time for another round of the Daily Dollar, with the best bets in the NFL. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Although, the league did bettors dirty by moving the Cleveland Browns to Monday, as it was guaranteed money. Same goes for the Washington Football Team’s game being moved to Tuesday. Now, all bets (no pun intended) are off for those two. COVID protocols are sweeping across the NFL, making Week 15 gambling a little tricky, especially with a Thursday game and one on Saturday. Let’s see if we can find a favorable matchup or two on today’s slate.

Green Bay Packers -7 (-110) at Baltimore Ravens

This one sticks out like a sore thumb. There is an off chance that Lamar Jackson plays in this game, but more than likely it will be Tyler Huntley under center. This is an opportunity to make some solid cash, as Green Bay has shown the ability to play good defense against lesser opponents this season. This is a presumptive NFC Super Bowl entrant, and Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams have been playing pitch-and-catch with ease. There is no reason to think Huntley and Marquise Brown (and a ragtag rushing core) can keep up with them, even in Maryland. This is a blowout waiting to happen.

Book it: Packers -7 points (-110) over Ravens

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars o40 (-110)

Everyone is fully aware that these are two very poor teams. With that said, expecting a total in today’s NFL to drop at 40 points combined is almost ridiculous. Houston is eager to prove they are not the worst team in the league. The Jaguars got out from under Urban Meyer’s thumb (finally) and will want to open it up and show what they can do. This has all the makings of a 30-20 affair. It doesn’t really matter who wins, so long as you bet the total.

Book it: Texans and Jaguars over 40 points (-110)

Minnesota Vikings 1H -3.5 (-110) at Chicago Bears

This is a first half line, only. There is no reason to expect the Bears not to dig a hole for themselves immediately, even in a divisional matchup. Justin Fields has been borderline terrible, and while Minnesota are not world-beaters, they are in a far different class than Chicago. Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson will come out firing, and with Dalvin Cook healthy, they’ll roll over the Bears. As it is a division matchup, you should be hesitant to take the full-game line, but expect the Vikings to come out humming and lead by plenty at the half.

Book it: Vikings -3.5 (-110) first half

Best of luck to everyone with your wagers today. If you behave, I may throw a few more up for Monday and Tuesday. Stack those wallets!
