After a little break from gambling after March Madness, we are finally back to giving out some winners. Today, we will be focusing on a great slate in baseball. It has been a great start to the baseball season, so let’s keep it rolling.

Mets vs. Cubs

Mets ML (-113)

The Cubs are in a really bad spot right now. Sure, they have hit over 20 home runs and are walked a lot, but the team OBP of .285 and batting average of .192 are pathetic. At some point, a complete rebuild might be in the picture for a once bright future. Not only are they struggling offensively, but the Mets have a team ERA of 2.93 (good for fourth in baseball) and have only given up eight home runs and 37 runs total. If Taijuan Walker can keep up with those numbers, they should beat a struggling Cubs team easily.

Giants vs. Phillies

Phillies -1.5 (+130)

While the Phillies’ pitching has been very “meh”, they have been fairly well balanced on offense all season. Not only that, but Bryce Harper has silently caught fire. He is currently seven for his last 10 and has bumped his slash line to .319/.458/.572. Harper has not been a bad baseball player at any point in his career but it is really big for the Phillies if he finally lives up to that massive contract. The Giants are 30th in runs per game at 3.3 and with Zack Wheeler on the mound, the Phillies should win this game.

Blue Jays vs. Red Sox

The Red Sox come into this game as the clear best team in the American League to this point. Their offense is scoring 5.31 runs per game and they have accumulated a team batting average of .277 and an OBP of .337. The Blue Jays, on the other hand, are a middle-of-the-road offense, only scoring just over four runs per game. While the over is only 5-11 for the Blue Jays this season and with Hyun Jin Ryu on the mound it will require Toronto to pick up the slack a little, they should have no problems against Eduardo Rodriguez.

Braves vs. Yankees

Braves ML (+110)

Fade the Yankees. They are quite horrible. They rank in the bottom half of the league offensively, and the pitching staff is nothing outside of Gerrit Cole. Jameson Taillon‘s arm is basically being held on by gum and string at this point. No disrespect, but with a 7.56 and only 8.1 innings pitched in two outings this season, it’s clear that we have already seen the best of him in his career. Don’t get me wrong, the Braves are not great either, but we are fading the Yankees until they turn it around or show any sign of improvement.
