San Diego State visited Arizona State in an AP Top 25 showdown in the desert last night. We’ll recap that one and get you set for another day of college basketball that features both Villanova and Creighton.

Welcome to today’s Daily Dunk where we recap all of college basketball’s biggest games from yesterday and give you a look at the matchups to watch later today!

Yesterday’s Biggest Games

#24 San Diego State 80 vs. #23 Arizona State 68

The Aztecs and Sun Devils played each other last night in Arizona, in what was the best matchup of the night. SDSU had a two-point lead at the half thanks to a pair of ten-point beginnings by Nathan Mensah and Jordan Schakel. Schakel had a career night, eventually finishing with 25 points and six rebounds.

San Diego State pulled away when they went on an 18-2 run during the second half, which included Arizona State seeming to miss every three-pointer they attempted during a four-minute span. The Aztecs move to 5-0 and improve a resumé that now includes top-25 wins against a pair of Power Five conference programs in UCLA and ASU.

UM Kansas City 61 vs. Minnesota 90

The Gophers entered as the favorites and exited as winners. This game was never really close as Minnesota showed why they were undefeated coming into the matchup. They will kick off their Big Ten play next week against sixth-ranked Illinois.
