Corrigan’s Gambling Corner: Exclusively Big Ten Picks

by October 24, 2020 0 comments

The greatest conference in college football has made its triumphant return, and to celebrate, there will only be Big Ten picks today. There are some good lines outside the Big Ten today, but we are celebrating, and this is the best way to do it.

2020 Record: 29-32

Nebraska vs. Ohio State (-26)

Let’s be honest here, Ohio State is just far superior to Nebraska. Scott Frost needs more time to develop this program, and a shortened season isn’t going to help him. Give him time, and he will get this program back on the right track. However, they have to go up against the best team in the Big Ten by far. Justin Fields has a much better receiving core this season and with a two-headed monster of Master Teague and Trey Sermon in the backfield, Ohio State will have no problems scoring today.

Penn State (-6.5) vs. Indiana

Penn State will be without Journey Brown and Micah Parsons this season, but this is still a really good team. Outside of Ohio State, Penn State is the Big Ten’s best chance at having a player in the College Football Playoffs. While Indiana seems to be on the right track program wise, they will not be able to keep up with the big dogs just yet.

Rutgers (+11) vs. Michigan State

Just a gut feeling. Michigan State is about to have some rough years ahead in the post-Mark Dantonio era. While Rutgers is not even remotely close to being good again, hiring Greg Schiano is a step in the right direction. Look For Rutgers to even win this game outright at +350.

Michigan vs. Minnesota (+3.5)

It’s hard to say what this Michigan team will look like this year. With Tarik Black now in the Texas program and Nico Collins opting out of the season, they lost the two best weapons on offense. Not to mention that this will be Joe Milton‘s first real experience in college football. This is still a very talented and deep roster, but Minnesota is returning a lot this season. Minnesota is going to win the Big Ten West, and they will win this game.
