Week 4 Preview: Seattle Seahawks vs. Miami Dolphinsby MJ Hurley October 3, 2020 3 comments
The Seattle Seahawks won a high octane shootout against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, but their victory did not come without a price. The Seahawks will be missing All-Pro safety Jamal Adams against the Dolphins and Adams will likely be out against the Vikings in Week 5 as well. With three of their corners questionable for Sunday and both Carlos Hyde and Chris Carson questionable, injuries will be the story of the week for Seattle.
Miami is fresh after playing on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. The Dolphins and Ryan Fitzpatrick took down the Jacksonville Jaguars in a convincing 31-13 victory. Although they did well against Jacksonville, the Dolphins were clearly out of their league against their divisional rivals, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. As long as Russell Wilson is still playing at his current MVP level, the Seahawks are better than most teams in the NFL.
Wilson has clearly been the best quarterback in the NFL. The veteran sports the top quarterback rating in the league and has a 14/1 touchdown to interception ratio. Wilson has two of the best receivers in the division with Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf at his disposal. Lockett had three touchdowns in against the Cowboys and he is tied for the league lead in receiving touchdowns.
Although there is plenty of star firepower on the Seahawks offense, Wilson has spread the ball around to 10 receivers, six of which have caught touchdowns. Miami has done well defensively so far, but the Dolphins will face their biggest test in Week 4. The Dolphins defense has done well in the red zone. Despite allowing over 400 yards per game, they’ve only surrendered 20 points per game.

Points Spread: SEA -5.5 (-110) | MIA +5.5 (-110)

Over/Under: O 54.5 (-110) | U 54.5 (-110)
With the injuries on the defensive side for Seattle and the dominant passing game of the Seahawks, the over should be a safe bet this weekend. Miami and Seattle average over 54.5 points per game and Seattle should be able to continue on their hot streak this week.
The Seahawks are on fire and even an efficient team led by Ryan Fitzpatrick will not be able to stop the best team in the best division in the NFL. Xavien Howard and Byron Jones will have their first true test of the season against Lockett and Metcalf, but Pete Carroll and Seattle should be able to handle Miami and move to 4-0 on the season.
Final Score: Seattle Seahawks 35, Miami Dolphins 21
