NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS: Wawa 250

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS: Wawa 250

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is back to Daytona for the third time this season. This time they will be back on the 2.5-mile oval. The Xfinity series still has five races before the playoffs, unlike the cup series, which starts next week. This race will be huge for many drivers as they fight to make the playoffs. Since this week is Daytona and such a wild card the top fantasy drivers will look a little different. There likely will not be one driver that dominates the race. Therefore, the focus will be place differential. Now let’s take a look at the top fantasy drivers for this weekend’s Xfinity race.

High Salary

A.J. Allmendinger ($11,500 DK)

It is very tough to not pick Allmendinger even with his salary being the most expensive on the slate. He’s starting 34th and easily has a car capable of winning the race. Allmendinger’s teammate, Justin Haley, won the last superspeedway race at Talladega. Allmendinger has the highest potential to score the most fantasy points because of his starting position. With so many good value drivers on this slate, it is worth paying up for Allmendinger.

Myatt Snider ($8,900 DK)

Snider needs a great finish this week to get back into the playoff hunt. He is currently 58 points out of the playoffs. He can’t afford a bad finish so he will not push his car until the end of the race. He’s starting 19th so he should be able to score some positive place differential points. Look for Snider to get a good finish and get himself back into playoff contention.

Timmy Hill ($7,500 DK)

Normally Hill doesn’t offer much upside week in and week out. However, at Daytona and with his starting position, he’s the perfect fantasy driver. He’s starting towards the back in 31st. He will likely avoid the wrecks because he won’t be too aggressive fighting for positions early in the race. Hill’s worst finish at Daytona in the Xfinity Series is 23rd. That is in nine races and he even has four top-10 finishes. Hill knows how to stay out of the wrecks so look for him to continue his success at Daytona Friday night.

Matt Mills ($6,100 DK)

Mills is a risky play this week but similarly to Hill, he’s starting in the back. He can score a lot of place differential points from 29th. In February at Daytona, Mills had some electrical issues resulting in a 31st place finish. However, last July he finished 10th at Daytona. Mills will need some help because his cars aren’t the fastest but if he’s able to stay out of trouble, look for Mills to work his way into the top 15.
