The NFC North has had three different divisional winners in the past three years. Each year it seems that the balance of power shifts from one team to another in the north, as each of the four teams excels in an important part of the game. Overall, this is one of the most complete divisions in terms of talent and depth on each team, meaning each game will be very close. Additionally, there is an extra playoff wildcard spot, where the north could see three of its teams in the playoffs. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We projected all 256 games and have the winners and losers of each division!
Last season is one Steelers fans would like to forget. Upon losing Ben Roethlisberger in the second game of the year, everyone was treated to a steady diet of Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges. Despite the defense being among the top five in the league statistically, the Steelers’ offense suffered. One has to respect the fact that they were nearly a playoff team with such mediocre quarterback play. An optimist would say the Steelers could be a significantly better team with Roethlisberger back at the helm. With all of that taken care of, I’m going to make five bold predictions for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020.
While Joakim Nordstrom has been a solid piece, his future in Boston is uncertain with free agency only months away.
The AFC East has been dominated by the New England Patriots for the last 20 years, however, it is the end of an era. With the departure of Tom Brady, and the rise of young quarterbacks- Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Tua Tagovailoa – the division looks to be promising and entertaining for years to come. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each AFC East team will play. With that said, this is an eight-part series where our Scorecrow NFL Analysts do an early prediction of the wins and losses of each team. We have projected all 256 games here and have the winners and losers of each division, and you can find all of the other projections here.

The NFC South is arguably one of the most offensive driven divisions. As well, each offense has improved over the offseason, but the biggest addition is Tom Brady. With Brady and other quarterbacks like Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, and Teddy Bridgewater, the division has no clear winner. With the extra playoff spot open, this division could have three teams compete in the playoffs. With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each NFC South team will play. Last season a quarterback controversy plagued this team through the first six games. One coaching decision led the Titans to the playoffs. Once there they didn’t stop, they upset the New England Patriots and essentially ended the dynasty. They followed that up with an even more shocking upset of the AFC favorites the Baltimore Ravens. Their luck ran out against Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game. Here are my five bold predictions for the Tennessee Titans.

The AFC North is a battle for the top spot year in and out. With young quarterbacks like Joe Burrow, Baker Mayfield, and Lamar Jackson the division looks to have a promising and entertaining year. With the return of Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers may return to their old winning form. The AFC North division has some of the best rivalries and hardest-hitting football which always makes for close games. Additionally, there is an extra playoff spot, of which means the AFC North could see three of its teams in the playoffs.
