McCoy was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft and played for Tampa Bay for nine years before signing with Carolina last year. McCoy started every game of his career, including 123 games with Tampa Bay and 16 games with Carolina.
During his time with Tampa Bay, he totaled 22 pass deflections, six forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and 297 tackles. Of his recorded tackles, 235 were solo and 77 were assists. McCoy also posted 86 tackles for loss.
During the 2019 season with Carolina, McCoy posted two pass deflections, 37 total tackles, and seven tackles for loss.
McCoy was a strong link in the defensive line during his season with Carolina.
Dallas is missing the strong link on their defensive line, and McCoy could prove to be an asset to the Dallas roster, as well.
