Patriots receivers N’Keal Harry (shoulder) and Julian Edelman (knee) are expected to be active on Sunday night against Seattle, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Courtland Sutton has “good chance to play”

Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton will need to be evaluated before the game, but the team believes he “has a good chance to play” against Pittsburgh, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported.

Robert Quinn good to go, will make season debut

Bears pass-rusher Robert Quinn was listed as questionable with an ankle injury but is expected to be healthy enough to make his season debut against the Giants, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Stanley, Smith expected to be active for Ravens

The Ravens will have two important weapons on the field for their game against Houston. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, left tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerback Jimmy Smith will be active despite dealing with their respective hip injuries.

Tyron Smith‘s status “up in the air”

The Cowboys hope left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) can play this week against Atlanta, but his status remains “up in the air,” according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Dallas will evaluate him pregame and will need to see significant improvement in order to deem him able to play.

Jake Matthews good to go

Falcons left tackle Jake Matthews is expected to play on Sunday as he recovers from a knee ailment, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Kenny Golladay “close” to returning

Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) won’t play this week, but head coach Matt Patricia said “he’s really close” to returning to play, as relayed by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. It sounds like Detroit’s talented pass-catcher could return in Week 3.

Justin Jackson expected to be inactive; Bradwell promoted

The Chargers, who promoted running back Darius Bradwell from their practice squad, are expected to be without Justin Jackson on Sunday as he battles a quad injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Austin Ekeler, Joshua Kelley, and Bradwell will handle the ground duties against Kansas City.

Colts expect Pascal to play, Pittman Jr. to be inactive

Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal will play in Sunday’s game vs. Minnesota despite an ankle injury, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. However, Michael Pittman Jr. (toe) is expected to be inactive.

Tate “on track” to play

Giants wide receiver Golden Tate was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury but is “on track” to play, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Duke Johnson not expected to play; Brandin Cooks good to go

The Texans are expected to be without the services of running back Duke Johnson Jr., who was listed as questionable with an ankle injury, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Meanwhile, wide receiver Brandin Cooks is expected to play despite a quad injury.

Gerald Everett good to go

Rams tight end Gerald Everett, who was listed as questionable with a back injury, is expected to play on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He’ll slot in as the No. 2 tight end behind Tyler Higbee.

Saturday, Sept. 19

Dahl to be placed on IR

The Lions are placing guard Joe Dahl (groin) on injured reserve. Dahl, who will now miss three weeks of football action, suffered his injury during practice.

Cowboys place Brown on IR

The Cowboys have placed starting cornerback Anthony Brown (ribs) on IR. Yet another blow for the Dallas defense.

Equanimeous St. Brown lands on IR

The Green Bay Packers’ wide receiver room took another hit on Saturday as Equanimeous St. Brown (knee) was placed on IR.

Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. had an incident during practice on Friday, according to Frank Reich. The team will continue to evaluate their rookie wideout prior to kickoff on Sunday.

Reich on Doyle’s short-term future: “Too early to tell”

Colts head coach Frank Reich said it is “too early to tell” if tight end Jack Doyle will miss multiple games with an ankle injury. Mo Alie-Cox will start in his absence this week.

DeVante Parker limited on Thursday

Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, was limited in practice on Thursday. His status for Sunday remains up in the air, though we should know more tomorrow.

Sutton limited, Lindsay absent on Thursday

Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (shoulder) is expected to be listed as questionable heading into Sunday’s game, per head coach Vic Fangio. Sutton practiced on Wednesday and Thursday in a limited capacity. Meanwhile, running back Phillip Lindsay (turf toe) did not practice.

Ronnie Stanley returns to practice

Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley returned to practice on Wednesday. Stanley, who is dealing with a hip injury, “moved around well,” according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Tate practices individually

Giants wideout Golden Tate returned to practice on Thursday. While he didn’t participate in team drills, he was spotted completing individual work on the side. As of now, he’s on track to play Sunday.

Kenny Golladay misses practice

Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hamstring) missed practice yet again on Thursday, leaving his status in doubt ahead of Sunday. Perhaps we’ll know more on Friday about whether the talented wideout will suit up or not come kickoff.

Crowder (hamstring) misses practice, game status in doubt

Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury and was downgraded to DNP on Thursday. There’s a legitimate chance he doesn’t suit up on Sunday.

Godwin still in concussion protocol, could miss game

The absence of Chris Godwin is starting to become a legitimate possibility. Head coach Bruce Arians says the team is expected to be “very cautious” with the wide receiver, who remains in concussion protocol just 72 hours before kickoff.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Pouncey, Bosa miss practice

Two talented Chargers players were absent on Wednesday. According to the team’s injury report, center Mike Pouncey (hip) and defensive end Joey Bosa (tricep) were unable to practice.

Rams list Gerald Everett as DNP

Tight end Gerald Everett (back) did not practice on Wednesday, according to the Rams. Head coach Sean McVay hinted at the idea that Everett should be good to go on Sunday.

Crowder dealing with hamstring injury

Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder was limited in practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. This is bad news for a team already without Le’Veon Bell.

Tate listed as limited

Giants wide receiver Golden Tate missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury and was limited on Wednesday. Nevertheless, he should be good to go by game time on Sunday.

Brandin Cooks limited on Wednesday

Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks (quad) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday. We’ll surely know more about his status come Thursday afternoon.

Miles Sanders (hamstring) practices in full

Not only did Eagles running back Miles Sander return to practice, but he was listed as a full participant. He should be good to go against the Rams on Sunday.

Julio Jones limited on Wednesday

Falcons star wideout Julio Jones was limited with a hamstring injury. However, his Week 2 status is not a concern.

Johnson, Conner, Smith-Schuster, Roethlisberger held out of practice

Steelers wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Diontae Johnson (toe) and running back James Conner (ankle) all missed practice on Monday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was also listed as a DNP for non-injury reasons. As of now, Conner provides the most concern as his ankle injury caused him to miss part of Monday’s game.

Corey Davis does not practice

After posting 100-plus yards on Monday, Corey Davis (hamstring) was absent from the Titans’ Wednesday practice. As of now, he’s expected to play on Sunday.

Jack Doyle, Zach Pascal miss practice

Colts tight end Jack Doyle missed practice on Wednesday while dealing with ankle and knee injuries. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll suit up vs. Minnesota. Wide receiver Zach Pascal (ankle) also did not practice.

Aiyuk, Kittle did not practice

49ers star tight end George Kittle (knee) missed practice Wednesday and is expected to remain absent throughout the week. Despite this absence, head coach Kyle Shanahan says he expects Kittle will be able to play on Sunday against the Jets. Meanwhile, wideout Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) did not practice either.

Dolphins’ Grant, Parker limited in practice

Miami wideouts Jakeem Grant (calf) and DeVante Parker (hamstring) were limited in practice on Wednesday, though there continues to be optimism that both will play on Sunday against Buffalo.

Jarvis Landry labeled as questionable

Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry is dealing with a hip injury that caused him to miss practice Wednesday. He returned in a limited fashion on Wednesday and is expected to play, though the team has labeled him as questionable.

Sutton limited on Wednesday

Broncos receiver Courtland Sutton (shoulder) was a limited participant in the Broncos’ practice on Wednesday. While practicing in full would have been ideal, this is a step in the right direction for Denver’s clear-cut WR1.

Golladay misses practices

Lions receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) did not practice on Monday, though he was spotted as a spectator on the sideline.

Atkins, Daniels ruled out

Bengals defensive tackles Geno Atkins (shoulder) and Mike Daniels (groin) have been ruled out for Thursday’s game.

Chris Godwin in concussion protocol, Mike Evans limited

The Buccaneers have been dealt a scare as wide receiver Chis Godwin is dealing with a concussion. He’ll have just four days to recover and clear protocol if he wants to play this week. Meanwhile, Mike Evans (hamstring) was limited.

Ahkello Witherspoon in concussion protocol

Bills receiver John Brown is dealing with a foot injury and was not seen at the team’s Wednesday practice. This is certainly a concern for a deep threat who relies on his feet to get down the field in a hurry.

Sean Lee expected to miss six weeks

The Cowboys placed linebacker Leighton Vander Esch on IR on Monday and now expect fellow linebacker Sean Lee, who was already on IR after undergoing sports hernia surgery, to miss six weeks. NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported the news.

Cam Erving placed on IR

The Cowboys are placing offensive lineman Cameron Erving on IR as he’s set to miss four to six weeks with an MCL sprain.

Sanders, Johnson on track to play in Week 2

Eagles running back Miles Sanders and tackle Lane Johnson are on track to play this week against the Rams after they were both inactive in Week 1, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Duke Johnson practices

Texans running back Duke Johnson (ankle) was spotted at practice, providing optimism ahead of this weekend’s game against Baltimore. If Johnson can’t play, undrafted free agent Buddy Howell would slot in as the team’s RB2.

DeVante Parker could play this week

DeVante Parker‘s name had yet to pop up during the past few days of rumors but we finally have some clarity on his status. According to Adam Beasley of Miami Herald, the wideout has a “real chance” to play against Buffalo on Sunday after injuring his hamstring vs. New England in Week 1.

Cornerback Richard Sherman is dealing with a calf injury, and while it’s unclear during what part of the game he suffered the ailment, he’s been placed on IR and will miss the next three weeks of action.

Phillip Lindsay to miss several weeks

After two pessimistic reports regarding the Broncos’ running back yesterday, Phillip Lindsay is now expected to miss the “next few weeks,” as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network explained. Royce Freeman will slot in at No. 2 behind Melvin Gordon during Lindsay’s absence.

Khalen Saunders to miss four weeks

Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders suffered an elbow injury last Thursday night against the Texans. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Saunders is expected to land on injured reserve and ultimately miss four weeks of action.

Broncos placing A.J. Bouye on IR?

Less than 24 hours after being dubbed highly questionable for Sunday’s game, it appears Bouye has more clarity. Unfortunately, he’s dealing with a shoulder injury and is expected to land on injured reserve for a short stint (minimum three games), according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

McVay: Gerald Everett will be “okay”

Rams head coach Sean McVay did not elaborate much on the status of Gerald Everett (back), though he did say the backup tight end should be “okay.” Either way, Tyler Higbee is the clear-cut No. 1 tight end in Los Angeles for the time being.

Lions receive good news on Trufant

The Lions believe cornerback Desmond Trufant avoided a significant injury, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Trufant is trending towards playing this week against Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and the Green Bay Packers.

Michael Thomas to miss “several weeks”

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Saints star wide receiver Michael Thomas is expected to miss several weeks. In fact, an IR placement can’t be ruled out, though the Pro Bowler is a gritty player who could try to push through the injury.

Phillip Lindsay could miss significant time

There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay‘s injury. The latest speculation, courtesy of NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, suggests Lindsay (turf toe) could miss Week 2 and potentially additional games as well.

Kahale Warring sent to IR

The Houston Texans placed tight end Kahale Warring on IR. He failed to produce offensively in Week 1, instead being limited to special teams reps.

Jets place Mims, Bell, Cashman on IR

The Jets placed a trio of reliable weapons on IR on Tuesday. Running back Le’Veon Bell (hamstring), rookie receiver Denzel Mims (hamstrings), and linebacker Blake Cashman (groin) will all now be required to miss at least three games. New York signed Kalen Ballage to add depth in the backfield.

Chargers’ Tranquill lands on IR

Chargers linebacker Drue Tranquill is expected to miss a significant amount of time after a knee injury forced him to land on IR. As of now, it’s expected that Tranquill will miss more than the minimum three-game requirement.

Jarvis Landry expected to play Thursday despite missing Tuesday’s practice

Browns wideout Jarvis Landry missed practice on Tuesday with a hip injury, though this was likely just to give him a day off. He’s still on track to play Thursday.

Bouye “highly questionable” for game vs. Steelers

According to NBC’s Mike Klis, Broncos cornerback A.J. Bouye‘s shoulder popped out during Monday’s game for the Titans. This dislocation puts Bouye’s status for next week in doubt, though no official word has been provided by the team.

Tomlin will “leave the light on” for James Conner

Much like he did last year, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is expected to “leave the light on” for running back James Conner, who injured his ankle on Monday. If he can’t go, Benny Snell will take on the role of starting running back.

Steelers fear Zach Banner tore ACL

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Steelers fear offensive lineman Zach Banner tore his ACL on Monday night vs. the Giants. If confirmed, Banner will miss the remainder of the season.

Fangio optimistic on Hamler, unclear on Sutton

Rookie wideout KJ Hamler (knee) almost played on Sunday but the Broncos held him out, citing an abundance of caution. Speaking Monday, head coach Vic Fangio said he expects Hamler to practice in full this week. Fangio also said that he hopes Courtland Sutton can do more in terms of practice and preparing this week as he was held out last week with a shoulder injury.

Randy Bullock to kick through calves injury

The Bengals claimed kicker Austin Seibert off waivers from the Browns, but Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor said he still expects Bullock to be the team’s kicker for their game on Thursday night despite his calf injuries.

Phillip Lindsay dealing with turf toe

Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay is dealing with “minor” turf toe, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. His status going forward is unknown, though he definitely still has a shot to play in Week 2 against Pittsburgh.

Lions place Justin Coleman on IR

Lions cornerback Justin Coleman injured his knee in the second quarter of Detroit’s game against the Bears. He’ll be eligible to return in Week 6.

Monday, Sept. 14

George Kittle dealing with knee sprain

49ers star tight end George Kittle sprained his knee while jumping for an errant pass from Jimmy Garoppolo on Sunday. There isn’t much known about the severity of this injury, so it’ll be worth monitoring Kittle’s status as the week progresses.

Lane Taylor done for season

The Packers relayed some bad news on Monday. Right guard Lane Taylor, who missed most of 2019 with a biceps injury, is headed to IR again after suffering a season-ending knee injury during the Packers’ Week 1 game against the Vikings.

Jaguars place Jarrod Wilson on IR

The Jaguars placed starting safety Jarrod Wilson, though it’s unclear what type of injury he is dealing with.

Le’Veon Bell to miss time?

New York Jets head coach Adam Gase said on Monday that running back Le’Veon Bell is dealing with a hamstring injury and “could be out a couple weeks.” This will certainly be worth monitoring as the week progresses and the Jets continue to practice.

Browns place Njoku on IR

Tight end David Njoku caught three passes for 50 yards and a score on Sunday, then was subsequently placed on IR on Monday. He’s dealing with a knee injury, giving rookie Harrison Bryant the chance to slot in as the true No. 2 tight end behind Austin Hooper.

Lane Johnson, Miles Sanders could return for Eagles vs. Rams

Offensive lineman Lane Johnson (ankle) and running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) have decent chances of returning to the field for the Eagles’ Week 2 clash with the Rams, according to NBC’s John Clark.

Duke Johnson not spotted at practice

The Texans didn’t have to submit an injury report on Monday, but if they did, Duke Johnson would have been listed as DNP. According to Aaron Reiss of The Athletic, Johnson was absent during the portion of practice open to the media. Johnson injured his ankle during Thursday’s game against the Chiefs.

Cowboys place Vander-Esch, Jarwin on IR

The Cowboys lost two important players on Sunday night as tight end Blake Jarwin (torn ACL) and linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (collarbone) suffered injuries that have since resulted in IR placements. Jarwin is done for the year while Vander Esch could return in six to eight weeks.

Colts place Marlon Mack on IR

Running back Marlon Mack has landed on injured reserve after tearing his Achilles during Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. He’s done for the season.
