Carson will play, Hyde to be ruled out

Seahawks running back Chris Carson (knee) is expected to play Sunday while Carlos Hyde (shoulder) is a gametime decision but is expected to be inactive, accoding to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Ronnie Stanley not expected to play?

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Ravens are pessimistic that left tackle Ronnie Stanley with play today. He’s listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

Kareem Hunt to play Sunday

Browns running back Kareem Hunt (groin) is expected to play Sunday after originally being listed as questionable, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Patriots-Chiefs likely to be played on Monday

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Patriots and Chiefs are expected to play on Monday night if both teams receive an all-negative batch of COVID-19 tests on Sunday.

Two more Titans test positive for COVID-19

One more player and one more coach from the Titans have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Adam Shefter of ESPN. That brings the total to 18 positive tests (11 players, seven staff) for the Titans, whose Week 5 game against Buffalo is suddenly in doubt.

Michael Burton receives false positive, will play on Sunday

The Saints received a COVID scare on late Saturday night as a player tested positive for the coronavirus. As it turns out, that player was fullback Michael Burton, whose positive test necessitated additional testing for himself and Alvin Kamara, whom he sat next to on the plane. Both subjects tested negative and will play on Sunday against the Lions.

McLaurin will play on Sunday

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin (thigh) will play on Sunday despite not practicing on Friday.

Joe Mixon good to go

Bengals running back Joe Mixon, who was added to the injury report on Saturday with a chest injury, is expected to play in Wek 4 against the Jaguars, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Saturday, Oct. 3

La’el Collins lands on IR

The Cowboys wre hoping right tackle La’el Collins (hip) could return this year, but it now appears that won’t be the case as the team placed him on season-ending injured reserve.

Mike Daniels placed on IR

The Begals have placed defensive tackle Mike Daniels (elbow) in injured reserve.

Allen Lazard placed on IR

As expected, the Packers placed receiver Allen Lazard on injured reserve after he underwent core muscle surgery.

Patriots’ Saturday tests come back negative

As of now, Cam Newton is the lone positive subject in the Patriots’ organization after the rest of the team tested negative for COVID-19, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gage (concussion) good to go

The Falcons removed wide receiver Russell Gage from their injury report, meaning he’s good to go for MNF. The Falcons also hope to have Julio Jones (hamstring) and Calvin Ridley (ankle), though they are both listed as questionable.

Titans’ Jeffery Simmons tests positive for COVD-19

Defesive lineman Jeffery Simmons has tested positive for COVID-19 and is the 10th Titans player to land on the COVID-19 list. That full list includes Simmons, offensive linemen Isaiah Wright and Greg Mabin, cornerbacks Kristian Fulton and Breau Brinkley, long-snappers DaQuan Jones and Breau Brinkley, defensive lineman Tommy Hudson, linebacker Kamalei Correa, and wide receivers Adam Humphries and Cameron Batson.

Colts place Michael Pittman on IR, activate Trey Burton

One man up, one man down. The Colts are placing wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (calf) on IR and activating tight end Trey Burton (calf). Receiver Marcus Johnson was also promoted from the practice squad.

Newton, Ta’amu test positive for COVID-19; Patriots-Chiefs postponed

Patriots quarterback Cam Newton has tested positive for COVID-19 and won’t be available for the team’s Week 4 game in Kansas City. Chiefs practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu also tested positive. The teams’ game, originally scheduled or Sunday, has been postponed to either Monday or Tuesday, barring an additional batch of testing for the teams’ players and personnel.

Eagles place Jason Peters on IR

The Eagles’ offensive line struggles continue to multiply as they’ve placed left tackle Jason Peters on injured reserve with a toe injury.

Titans have additional positive test

Saturday’s positive test in the Titans’ organization brinngs them to eight players on the mend.

Tahir Whitehead has thigh injury

The Panthers added linebacker Tahir Whitehead to their injury report with an apparent thigh injury. He’s questionable to play against Arizona.

Amik Robertson dealing with illness

The Raiders added cornerback Amik Robertson to their injury report on Saturday as he battles an illness. He’s questionable to play vs. the Bills.

Browns wide receiver and kick returner JoJo Natson tore his ACL on Sunday and is done for the year, according to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com. He’ll be placed on season-ending IR.

Chris Carson battling knee sprain

Seahawks running back Chris Carson likely suffered a sprained knee in Week 3, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. If Carson can’t go in Week 4, Carlos Hyde will see an uptick in touches.

Dallas Goedert to miss “some time”; Jackson’s injury not serious

Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 against the Bengals and is expected to miss “some time,” according to John Clark of NBC Sports. Meanwhile, Clark reports that wide receiver DeSean Jackson’s hamstring injury is not “too serious.”

Good news for Washington’s Inman

Washington wide receiver Dontrelle Inman did not fracture his arm on Sunday, according to head coach Ron Rivera. This suggests that the injury is merely a wrist sprain, which would put him on track to play in Week 4.

Jamal Adams‘s Week 4 status in doubt?

Seahawks safety Jamal Adams took himself out of the game on Sunday with an apparent groin injury. As David Chao, MD, of OutKick speculates, Adams’s injury might force him to be unable to play his usual style of sideline-to-sideline coverage if he is active in Week 4.

Goedert suffers high ankle sprain

Early speculation suggests Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a significant high ankle sprain on Sunday. While he likely won’t land on IR, there’s a good chance he doesn’t play in Week 4.

Jordan Reed battling two injuries

49ers tight end Jordan Reed, who started in place of injured tight end George Kittle, injured both his ankle and knee on Sunday. While he would have been able to play through the ankle injury, adding the knee injury to the mix forced him out of the game for good. As of now, it looks like he won’t play in Week 4, but it’s too early to know for sure.

Chase Young could land on IR

Washington Football Team rookie defensive end Chase Young exited Sunday’s game with a groin injury. The early belief is that his season isn’t over but he might end up on injured reserve with a three- to four-week timetable.

Chris Carson dealing with knee sprain

Seahawks running back Chris Carson is dealing with a knee sprain after getting wrapped up by Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill. The initial hope is that Carson, who did not return for the final portion of the fourth quarter, will be good to go for Week 4.

Tarik Cohen tears ACL

Bears running back Tarik Cohen tore his ACL on Sunday against the Falcons. He is done for the season.

Duo of wide receivers battling concussions

Diontae Johnson and Russell Gage are both being evaluated for possible concussions. We’ll surely know more about their statuses on Monday or Tuesday, but for now, we wait.
