With the season over, it is time to take a look at the All-Splash team – Offense, a riff off the All-Pro team. Be sure to check out Defense and Special Teams.
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers
Second Team: Josh Allen/Patrick Mahomes
Rodgers had an incredible 2020 season. He finished with 48 passing touchdowns, a career-high. His 121 passer rating trails only his 2011 season. Rodgers set an NFL-record of 14 games with a 100 passer rating, and he led the Packers to a 13-3 season.
Running Back: Derrick Henry
Second Team: Dalvin Cook
Henry became the eighth player to break 2,000 yards as a rusher. He led the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns for the second straight season as the Titans rolled to an 11-5 record. He finished the season with 250 yards against the Texans.
Wide Receiver: Tyreek Hill
Second Team: DeAndre Hopkins
Hill had a stellar season, scoring 17 times in 15 games for the Chiefs. He is as valuable of a weapon for any team in the NFL, and he had yet another dominant season. The peak of his season came when he had 200 receiving yards in a quarter against Tampa Bay.
Wide Receiver: Stefon Diggs
Second Team: Justin Jefferson
Diggs had an unbelievable debut season with the Bills. He finished with 1,535 receiving yards, the first Bill to lead the NFL in receiving. His showcase was a three-score Monday Night Football game during Week 16.
Tight End: Travis Kelce
Second Team: Darren Waller
Kelce broke George Kittle’s tight end record for receiving yards in a season, and he did not have to suit up for Week 17. Kelce was unstoppable, and he even had one of his better seasons as a blocker.
FLEX: Davante Adams
Second Team: Alvin Kamara
Adams roasted and toasted every secondary he went up against in 14 games. He posted 18 receiving touchdowns, the most in a season by a player since Randy Moss’s 23 in 2007. He was the sidekick to Rodgers’ MVP season, and he is a deserving All-Pro pick.
Left Tackle: Trent Williams
Second Team: David Bakhtiari
Despite missing the 2019 season, Williams was the best tackle in football in 2020. He had an awe-inspiring highlight reel during the season, and he was a key cog in San Francisco staying afloat offensively even with a slew of injuries. He was devastating in the Kyle Shanahan offense as a run blocker, and he graded well as a pass protector.
Left Guard: Joel Bitonio
Second Team: Ali Marpet
Bitonio had a stellar year for the Browns. After several years of being the only redeemable player on the offensive line, the rest of the unit finally played as well as Bitonio. He was excellent as a run blocker, and, according to Pro Football Focus, he only allowed one sack across 583 pass-blocking snaps.
Center: Frank Ragnow
Second Team: Corey Linsley
Ragnow battled through a late-season broken throat to be a superstar pivot in Detroit’s offensive line. In pass protection, Ragnow allowed zero sacks across 609 pass-blocking snaps. However, he was even more productive in the running game, paving the way for D’Andre Swift down the stretch.
Right Guard: Wyatt Teller
Second Team: Zack Martin
Once a Bills after-thought, Teller transformed into the best offensive lineman in football in 2020. He missed five games, yes, but in the 11 games he played, there was simply no one better at guard than Teller. While he was solid in pass protection, Teller earned his money in run blocking. Teller’s 93.6 PFF run-blocking grade speaks for itself.
Right Tackle: Jack Conklin
Second Team: Tristan Wirfs
The Browns get their third selection with free-agent acquisition Conklin. Across the NFL, it was a down year for right tackles with mainstays such as Mitchell Schwartz and Lane Johnson missing time, but Conklin was the cream of the crop. He allowed just two sacks and 15 pressures across 556 pass-blocking snaps.
