Steelers Rule Out James Conner, Maurkice Pouncey for Must-Win Game on Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers had their final practice on Friday as they prepare to take on the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers said there were only two non-participants in practice on Friday and they have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

James Conner was unable to practice again on Friday with his thigh injury and has now been officially ruled out for Week 17. This leaves just Jaylen Samuels, Benny Snell, Jr., and Kerrith Whyte, Jr. in the backfield for the Steelers.

Maurkice Pouncey was also ruled out by head coach Mike Tomlin. Neither Pouncey nor Conner has not been placed on injured reserve, so he would be eligible to play beyond Week 17 should the Steelers qualify for the postseason.

The team was hoping to have all hands on deck for Sunday’s must-win game. Not having their starting running back and center could prove costly, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The Ravens ruled out Mark Ingram, Lamar Jackson, Marshal Yanda, Brandon Williams, and Earl Thomas earlier in the week as they have already locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
