NFL Insiders Claim Signs Point to Brady Moving on After Season

An era may likely be coming to an end in New England, at least according to the league’s most notable insiders.

Claims from Jason La Canfora and Adam Schefter say that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is setting up to either retire or don a new uniform come next season.

La Canfora gave his two cents Tuesday on 1360 San Diego.

“If [Brady] does ago anywhere, clearly he [is] frustrated right now with the state of what’s around him in New England and he has been all year and it’s boiling over now,” La Canfora said on-air. “Look at the skill position players with the Chargers. It would be the best cast Brady has played with since Randy Moss and Rob Gronkowski.”

Schefter told his following back in October that the writing was on the wall then with the six-time Super Bowl champion putting his home up for sale as well as his trainer Alex Guerrero doing the same.

Fans can point to Brady and his family reportedly discussing purchasing an estate in Greenwich, Connecticut as a sign of him wanting to stay in the area. This points to retirement as the more plausible option.

“Let’s boil this down to facts once again,” Schefter said. “Let’s look at the simple things: Has he put his home for sale? Yes. Has his trainer put his home for sale? Yes. Has he set up his contract to void after this season to become a free agent? Yes. So if he’s selling his home and his trainer is selling his home and he’s voiding his contract? What does that tell you? He’s setting up to move on.”

Brady also told E! Entertainment’s Jason Kennedy in a television interview this week that his mother and wife Gisele Bündchen concur that they want him to retire, ‘At some point.’

“Mom would prefer at some point for me to retire just like my wife would because she doesn’t want to see me get hit either,” Brady said to Kennedy.

Fans and analysts of the team concur that the 42-year-old quarterback has not looked the same as his usual self. Whether the reasoning is the rotating cast at wide receiver, the faulty offensive line or even his own decline is entirely up for debate.

But it is entirely possible that Brady’s final regular season home game as a Patriot could be against Miami on Dec 29.

It is unbiased and fact. What Brady has accomplished is unparalleled. He is a first ballot hall of famer, the greatest signal-caller in the history of football.

But it comes down to the one opponent that he will never beat or execute a magical comeback against. Time.

This is so sad for me, although I do not blame him. Giselle and his Mom are right. I do not want him hurt as Belichick and Kraft does not care whether he gets hurt or not. They turned out to be the most sickening coach and owner in football. I have loved this team for over 2 decades and that included Belichick and Kraft. I now feel so angry at them for taking the last years that Brady is playing and would not give him an Offensive line nor Offensive players to make this year and another couple of years his best. They are so selfish, arrogant, and stingy, and unloyal. When he leaves or retires, I will spend my last years pulling for another team. I will never pull for people like Belichick nor Kraft, if Kraft is behind it. We will never know the answer, but I will always believe that they both were. Tom Brady is now and always will be the greatest QB of all time, in fact he is the best football player of all time.
