New England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu has only been in New England for three weeks but that did not stop him from chiming in on the Rob Gronkowski drama.
In a press conference after practice today, the Rutgers alum gave his two cents when asked about a potential Gronkowski return.
“I don’t know. If he does, I would love it, Believe that,” Sanu told reporters. “If he does, I would love it. Just got to go about it day by day and just do my part. Come, man, come.”
Even with the buzz escalating surrounding his possible return with the recent developments with Robert Kraft, fans forget the answer Gronkowski gave about his status.
“When I retired, I retired for a reason,” Gronkowski told CBS Boston. “It would be a no. There it is.”
Gronkowski since retiring, has partnered with a CBD company as well as taken a job as a Fox Sports analyst.
The Arizona alum finished his career as a three-time Super Bowl champion and four-time First-Team All-Pro.
Contrary to past years, the Patriots have been struggling with the tight end position this year not knowing who they will have out there week to week. The team also misses Gronkowski’s blocking prowess that helped Tom Brady get extra protection as well as being pivotal in the running game.
